In Crusade, a character may be given any Enhancement they qualify for from any detachment they have access to, and they always use that Enhancement, even if you play a different detachment in a given game (this is because Crusade doesn't lock you into detachments).

Certain detachments allow certain types of model to have the Character keyword, such as Custodes dreadnoughts or War Dogs.

What's the group opinion on the models being able to take Enhancements at all, and the ability to use those Enhancements in games where you might not be using the detachment which grants the Character keyword?

For example, how do things work out if I wanted to, say, give a War Dog an Enhancement, but then field that War Dog in a Lords of Dread detachment?

Is the first bit accurate? I don't remember that being a rule, but I'm not particularly Crusade-experienced.

If it is, I'd say they keep the Enhancement even if they're not a Character.
