Yeah, but they've discontined both Blackstone and Cursed City at the same time, leaving the 40K brand with a substantial board game. They can only go so far on small B&N exclusives for that stretch of time.

Upside of Custards coming to plastic is they’re points intensive, they’re going to be a relatively affordable army.
Note I did not say cheap.

There are a number of resin custodes that haven't crossed the Rubicon plasticaris yet as well for later releases- long bikes, aquilon termies, sagitarii, Pallas Grav attack, and the telemon. Maybe a second box set next year to cover a lot of those?

They've been plastic for 5+ years, so the affordability is not new. That's actually why I picked them when I got into the hobby. The only things that are now available in plastic (and weren't before) are the tanks, dreadnoughts, and the Venatari (the fellows with wings).

Quite a bland preview show this time around. No roadmaps for any systems, and we sorta knew about everything that was shown.
Loving all the new HH reveals. Glaive and Whirlwind are going on the shopping list. The 40K Corsair jump troops are aight if a little bland. Yriel looks dope, I also like that new Corsair psyker with their "Sandman" style helmet.
Only thing which I thought looked dumb were the AOS bonereaper stuff. I personally much prefer traditional looking skellies.

Yeah, on one hand I’m super happy they likely got their scale update so they aren’t the same size as regular old space marines and the new models look amazing! On the other hand, now my old Custodes will look short and outdated and I kinda wish I didn’t grab them recently . On the secret sinister third hand, I’m so happy forgeworld is now in plastic, I’ve been begging and hoping for this for so long and I’m so glad I can finally get them!

Mixed feelings on the custodes, they are very ornate but they left the lower leg armor very plain resulting in an unbalanced aesthetic. I don't think I prefer these over the 40k versions, just kinda apathetic about it. Sisters of SIlence being forgotten again is also a disappointment.

Probably one of the best mini previews they've done.
The corsairs of both kinds are fantastic. I'm a little sad about the Viper update because although it looks great the original mini is one of my favourites. My original pair are lost in the mists of time so I'd like to get one before the end.
Love the Red Corsairs - looks like this is a refresh of the Lost and the Damned with Traitor Guard?

While I'm sad it's not a new Kroot unit, the Dog Soldier looks pretty cool and I'm happy to see one finally get a model. That being said, other factions now officially have more T'au auxilliaries than the T'au do... (T'au have Vespid and Kroot, Agents have the Jokaero, Votaan = Demiurg, and Chaos now has the Tarellian Dog Soilders.)
I've been waffling on collecting a Tzeentch Daemons army for quite a while now, so that Battleforce is looking mighty tempting. A good spread of models and 840 points (for 40k) in the box. If I can scrounge up enough cash and there are enough available, I might get two.

I have to agree. The corsairs (of both sorts!) and the new custodes are both stellar. I'm also a sucker for all things High Elf, so the Lumineth hero and the new Blood Bowl team were great to see.
Cannot wait for the Iron Warriors stuff. I am really hoping the massive claw is a new defiler more in line with the Maulerfiend aesthetic.

The red corsair stuff is all amazing. I'll pick a bunch up.
I'll also need a glaive.
The whirlwind not so much, still prefer the idea of using the new tarantula missile turret for an old school look.
The custodies dreads and tanks are great, the infantry not so much. Do we know if these are replacing the current kits or an as well as 30k / 40k branding split thing?
And Femstodes can F right off. Glad its only really a few heads that can be ignored rather than torso changes, but that just makes them look even weirder.
They should have just given us more sisters of silence.

To briefly weigh in on the Custodes as well... I really like the new models, I think that the slimmer frame will really help differentiate them from the "Terminators" at a distance, it was often hard to tell them apart from across the table when they could be the same squad size and (sometimes) have the same weapons.
Sad we didn't get at least one more Sisters of Silence unit though. Hopefully next time.
That Battle Group box is nearly 900 points in 40k though, basically an army in a box if you're into Custodes (and don't mind some Legends models).

So yes technically the first whirlwind was that conversion with the underside of a fantasy base as the missile tubes, but the first real model of it was the classic five rocket tubes a side over the exposed dudes head version. Which I love and still own several of.

For at least a few months.
https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/mdp0kzdk/the-new-year-preview-all-new-legio-custodes-revealed/
The Custodes WarCom article has a little addendum at the end: "We’ve dropped a few hints that some of these models are also perfect for using in Warhammer 40,000 and it’s entirely true. A rules update for the Adeptus Custodes is set for later this year. But several of these new miniatures are already perfectly suitable to represent current units in Warhammer 40,000." (emphasis added)
The only units called out in the article as being usable in 40,000 post-update as the Custodian Guard with Spears and Sentinels (Guard with Swords and Shields). Everything else is conspicuously left out of the mention of ongoing 40K rules.

I think you’re misreading the future intent there.
Wording is several of these models are already perfectly suitable to represent.
Emphasis of course mine. But the implication is others may become perfectly suitable, once the new 40K Custard rules are out.

I hope that's the case - would be nice to have them included in the 11th ed. Codex instead of a supplement.
