Howdy!

I previously had a hobby thread in here:- Painting towards a brighter tomorrow!, my productivity had waxed and waned over the years as life stuff happened, and it had waned particularly badly as of late (The last 18 months have been a bit tough). Between me not really painting any more and Imgur having a tiff with the British Government (Losing me access to all my pictures), I closed down my hobby thread last September.

So what's changed? Honestly not a lot, but I do miss mini painting and want to try to get back into it, plus I want to start picking up the Spearhead part-work magazine when it starts in March, with a plan to actually learn how play the game after all these years, that will eventually be the main focus of this thread.
For now though, I just want to try and get back to painting semi-regularly, to that end, tonight, I dug out a little unfinished project to work on between now and March:-

And I mean literally dug (All my part assembled/painted minis are currently in a big plastic tub separated by sheets of bubble-wrap like so much very fragile lasagne, and these guys were in the third from bottom layer). The rest of this evening's hobby session is going to be spent trying to work out just what colours I was using since I really don't want to have to repaint anything!

Spearhead is a lot of fun. And getting games in is a good motivated to get stuff painted!

Good luck getting your painting mojo back.

Thanks!

I've been wanting to play some form of tabletop game for a while and this seems like a good opportunity. Hopefully I can find somewhere to play, the local game store tends to do stuff during the day when I'm at work (I guess they're trying to attract the independently wealthy crowd!).

Day 2

I'm on a roll:-

Started working on getting the main chariot body finished by finally getting all the trim done. It was originally started in Vallejo Brassy Brass but luckily Army Painters Weapon Bronze seems to be nearly identical.

Thanks! Although I don't think I paint the veins thin enough to really sell the effect.

Thanks! I hope it will!

Day 3

Getting the last of the marble bits done:-

I'm not particularly happy with them, it looks better than leaving it as one solid colour, but only just. I simply don't have the patience to do marble properly.
Onwards!
