I don't think we have a thread for Big Mr Tong/Mike Tongue/BMT3D yet and we should.

I have ordered several sets in the past. The renders don’t do them justice. A+++ would recommend if you enjoy heroic scaled miniatures with an old school aesthetic.

I’m sorely tempted. Will have a proper look later. Metal ones a wee bit pricey for me. But if he offers the STL? That’s a better idea for me.

I suppose ones and zeros are OK if you're not man enough for METAL

I prefer my models still glowing hot from the forge.

Well, the Gigeresque Tech-priests from the Will Rees artwork would be great as miniatures, but these look pretty poor.

I hate to say it because I love seeing proper metal models and not just STL files for sale, but I don't actually love the sculpts either. They lack a certain hand-sculpted charm to me that's synonymous with RT weirdos.

Burning metal? That's just for starters.

Contains lead – harmful if chewed, swallowed, or mouthed.

Includes small parts and sharp points – risk of choking or injury.

Models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.

Always wash hands after handling unpainted parts.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) (e.g. gloves, mask, eye protection) when cutting, sanding, or painting.

Keep out of reach of children.

Real modelers wouldn't even touch a model unless it can kill them.

I snapped a picture of a few of the mutants with an RTB01 Space Marine, an Imperial Army soldier, and a Primaris Reaver for comparison. They're a little bigger than the Rogue Trader miniatures.

And thank you for posting about this release here, Kid from Kyoto! I'd been following Big Mr Tong for awhile but money's tight, so I had been waiting for just the right sets to come along. Weirdo old-timey mechanicum beastmen were too good to pass up - even if the Big Mr. Dong miniature (forgive me) below gave me some pause - so I finally pounced.

(I might need to putty a loincloth for this well-endowed cable guy.)

Glad I did, too, because as I write this there's only one each left of "Denizens of the Pages" set 13 and 14. I've never seen BMT's metal sets sell out this fast before. It's either the power of advertising or there's just a lot of people out there hankering for beastman mechanicum figures. Or maybe there's just one weirdo out there who had to have an entire mechanicum beastmen army and bought 95 out of 100 sets? Only BMT knows. Anyhow, if anyone here is still interested in these minis, better move quickly.

Although I generally prefer hand-sculpted Oldhammer-style minis, I'm not a purist, and I'm glad BMT does these limited metal runs.

I like the look of these. I have some resin prints of his stuff and they're pretty good. Especially the not-star-wars figs I've printed.

There's a few dealers out there that have a commerical license to print his stuff so if metal is sold out, there's always other options.

Both Beast Preist sets are out of stock. I'm not surprised they were everywhere in my FB feed which is why I started this thread.

I think the STLs are available on his Patreon

The Beast Priests are showing as back in stock (plus STLs).

I wonder if BMT or anyone else has done a take on this page of weirdos?

I don't THINK that BMT has gotten to those guys yet, but L72's Miniature Musings sells a set.

I'm not really into his sculpting style, personally, though the squat looks pretty good.
