Just running math, if you get within 9"... 35 shots on average.

GEQ get roasted-19.44 dead.
MEQ lose a min squad and some change, taking 11.67 damage.
TEQ lose two models on average, damage of 5.83.

So probably not that good. But it's got mean Overwatch at least!
