Autism is a big spectrum, so it's difficult to predict how your group reacts to BB's particulars. If it's a "support group", I assume most are more highly affected than average. My main concern would actually be BB's reliance on (bad) luck - I have known people on the spectrum who would have been extremely frustrated when carefully laid plans cannot be carried out due to a bad dice roll (and others who wouldn't care at all, of course). I wouldn't worry about the mathhammer/rules aspect, if you make clear up front that it's fine to forget the rules, it just means you might lose out on something. The core rules are really not that complicated, and the main think you will forget is the special abilities on the players, rather than fundamental parts of the game.
