So with the aircraft constantly going back into strategic reserves and just ingress moving onto the board each turn, does this mean that Necron aircraft can no longer regenerate wounds? I.E. It keeps missing the command phase so it can't use reanimation protocals.

If so, that seems like really unfair.

Yes?

If you could trigger out of phase regen you could heal it?

Also being glued to the table edge is an issue, especially for transports.

The flyer rules in general need to have some bugs hammered out of the corner cases.

Ok yeah, I guess some strats/abilities could help alleviate it, but missing the command phase consistently is a big penalty for aircraft.

Agreed, need some bugs ironed out!

We know they have unit-specific updates planned for release, which I imagine will include most (if not all) of the flyers.

From reports on the marine side the pure gunboats look to follow the new flyer rules, while the transports loose the aircraft tag and still zoom around the table. But there ones that were missed.

So who knows? We’ll see when the Necron packet releases. But transports might still get to do their thing.

"Zoom" is a bit of a stretch - the Stormraven is only M14.

Hey, be nice to the flying dumpster. It’s got all the grace and aerodynamics of a thrown brick. It’s doing the best it can.

Yeah zooming at the speed of a mech with rockets strapped to its legs.

Which now that I think about it, Knights are more aerodynamic than most 40k planes.
