I would like to make a couple massive squiggoths, cheaply of course. I plan on using a toy dinosaur, chopping it up, then applying coats of bondo.

The thing is, I can't find the base toy to use. No rhinos, elephants, or dinosaurs. The only ones I find are either too small or are plushy, squishy kinds.

I need help to find a cheap, plastic or hard rubber model about 12 inches long.

If anyone knows where to get one, or runs across one at a store I would be more than happy to conpensate you for your time.

Heya;

Do you mean something like this...

I got this fella from a 'warehouse' style store in Australia. He was missing a horn, so I got it for $4.00AU istead of $8.00AU. The dino stands 14'ish inches long - 4.5'ish inches wide at the rear shoulders - and 5'ish inches high.

With a little work and some remodelling, this dino now looks like this (Still very much a WiP)...

Due to my inability to figure out this forum's linking stuff you'll need to cut and paste. Anyway, this is a nice choice:

I wish i still had pics of my original two after the chapter approved came out for the Ferals. I used two of the original Star Wars Dewback models. Scale is perfect, I glued the head and tail so it would move and built it up on the top and sides with balsa and Ork bitz for some armor plating and the howda, repainted it and then gave it some nice Orky grafitti here and there. They work awesome. And I was able to pick two cheap ones up off Ebay.

This was the type I used, i didn't use the saddle part: http://cgi.ebay.com/Dewback-Stormtrooper-1979-Vintage-Star-Wars-Nice_W0QQitemZ130030804798QQihZ003QQcategoryZ2475QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

But this one would probably work as well: http://cgi.ebay.com/STAR-WARS-POTF2-PATROL-DEWBACK-1997-KENNER-TOYS-NR_W0QQitemZ320031940595QQihZ011QQcategoryZ50267QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
