In the above three scenarios: what happens to a necron, khorne beserker or death company w/jp if they jump into, veil into, or ride a bike into bad terrain? Rules state that if a 1 is rolled the model gets no saves and is considered dead barring a reroll for expert rider. Does the WBB, Feel no Pain, or Ignore Injury also give them an armor save? Or are they removed also? RB

I think they're removed i remember reading somewhere that a failed difficult terrain roll means you take one Unsaveable wound which would include those rules, but then I've never seen an errata on it either
|
Hey, all I know this isn't very interesting but I moved to El Paso, TX AKA nowheresville so if you live here or Las Cruces and wanna game PM me sometime! |

Well, this is a rather moot point for necrons. Veil of darkness counts as deepstrike, and that wouldn't require a test for landing in difficult terrain. Scarabs and Wraiths ignore difficult terrain all together.

if it was an IC would they get to take an INV save? If yes than I would say the DC can take a feel no pain roll if the IC would not get a inv save then the DC would not get a feel no pain save.

Page 17, Dangerous Terrain Tests: "... Each roll of 1 indicates a model suffers a wound with no Save possible (Saves are explained in the shootng rules, all you need know for now is that in this case you don't gat any of them!)." So no save of any type (involnurable, armor or cover) is allowed. Page 74 Feel No Pain: "... If a model with this abillity loses a wound, roll a dice...This ability cannot be used against weapons that inflict Instant Death... or against close combat weapons that allow no Armor Save..." As a failed Dangerous Terrain Test causes a wound that is neither from a weapon that causes Instant Death nor a close combat weapon that allow no Armor Save, the only way to argue that you don't get it would be to deffine Feel No Pain as a Save, which there is little support for.

I agree with Imriel completely.
The original poster misrepresented the dangerous terrain rules. A models failing one is not "considered dead", it just suffers one wound.
Although no saves are allowed, WBB, Feel No Pain and Ignore Injury are not saves. If they were, you wouldn't be able to use them along with an armor save (a model may only use one save at a time).
These abilities are clearly not "saves" and therefore work against specialty wounds such as those caused by a dangerous terrain test.
This really is a non-issue.

A more metagame way of thinking about this is that Death Company is the most totally broken unit in the game, so every single rule question will always come down in their favor. They've got FNP, so...

The original poster did not misrepresent the rule just paraphrased it. Considering that 95% of those testing under these conditions only have one wound. It seems fairly obvious that if a die roll of 1 causes A wound with no save, the figure is most assuredly dead. Thank you all for the assistance, RB
