This is about the little things we all forget or never knew. Stuff about different armies and weapons that should always be remembered. Here is my list 1. Daemons are scoring units. 2 Therefore Daemons can take quarters 3. Ordinance barages cause pinning checks! (always forget) 4. Obliterators are strength 5 (I never thought to check to see if it was unmodified from CSMs. DUH!) 5. Daemonic Runes don't work on Force Weapons. 6. You just need to keep all the daemons under the pie plate when summoning, not a ring around the first placed one. So what have you discovered that makes you slap your forhead mid game when you enlightened.

There is no "assault through cover". Move Through Cover applies "whenever" you move through difficult terrain; nothing in the rule limits it to the Movement phase, so it certainly applies to assault moves as well.

Almost. Vehicles may pivot for free in the shooting phase to face their target provided they did not move in the movement phase. If the vehicle moves, it may pivot freely during the course of its move, but it may not then pivot again in the shooting phase.

Last paragraph, page 52: "...if a Psyker rolls a 2 or a 12 when taking the Leadership test to use a psychic power...".
This was pointed out on Warseer in regards to using Embolden to allow psychic power rerolls. I've failed a whole bunch of times using Eldrad and suffering wounds from Perils of the Warp. So many times Eldrad's retinue just sat back and allowed him to fry his brain. Almost every game I've given up half of Eldrad's victory points b/c of this.
Uggghhh...

Technically it's not the forgetting of something that cost me the game it's remember and being a good sportsman to someone who didn't know.

They don't get pinned. Whenever they have to take a morale test, they take an instability test instead, so they can lose models from pinning weapons.

But pinning is a Leadership test, not a Morale test, so yeah, Daemons can be pinned (Greater Daemons excluded, of course).

BGB Page 74, heading: Universal Special Rules: Fearless "Fearless troops never have to fall back and are assumed to automatically pass any Morale test they are required to take. They can never be pinned." Unfortunately, nowhere in my printing of the Codex: CSM does it say that Daemon Packs or Daemonic Beasts are Fearless. The Fearless heading only appears in the Greater Daemon unit entry. Codex CSM (2002 printing) Page 12, heading: Special Rules: Daemonic Instability "...In any circumstance where a Daemon unit should take a Morale check they instead take an Instability Test." BGB page 32, heading: Pinning Weapons "...When the firing of a single enemy unit inflicts casualties with pinning weapons, the target must take a Leadership test to avoid beeing pinned down." Consequently, it appears that Daemon Packs and Daemonic Beasts can be pinned. Correct? Sal.

As a Chaos player, read the sustained attack rules carefully when playing against Demonhunters. Every DH player I have faced states I can bring my recycled demons from my own deployment board edge. Sustained assault is a LOT more gracious than that, and not one DH player I have faced indicates this fact.

How about this for a dumb one:
'Forgeting to move'. That is getting carried away and moving them firing with a unit neatly forfeiting the rest of the movement phase. My opponents are normally gracious enough to remind me and we take it back, but missing phases in a game is something I do rather frequently.

I always find myself reminding my opponent to do things so it stays competetive. He will say I am going to shoot now and I will ask are you going to move those assault troops so you can assault later in the turn. My ork opponent over the week end stated he kept forgetting to use his armored plates in his previous match and he started to do it again in our game so I reminded him.
