Hmm. Not bad. I'll likely pick up the Wizards box to see what converting I can do. I may get the Dwarf BSB too.

Have to give props on the plastic wizards and flagellants. Lots of potential elsewhere with the flags, and I can't help but think the plastic wizard box is just useful in itself, for bitz and most all human players in general. Nice work GeeDub.

Those flagellants are simply screaming, nay, dieing to go into a sisters of battle army.

Funny how the majority of people who will buy those will be using them for something other than intended. I dont think I would see many of those in a fantasy army very much.

On a side note, self flagellation is underrated and is also considered by psychiatrists to be healthy!

IMHO:
The flagellants look absolutely awful (well, half of them anyway).
Cannot understand why they have to redo the "Catachan-mistake" - i.e. sculpt arms that look like crap!
And the weapons... - looks like they reused the ugliest ones from the Marauder sprues.

This said, I must admit that I might buy a pack - to make 40k cultists.
Too bad about the massive conversion job ahead though.

Why are all of the flagellants bodybuilders? Shouldn't they be a little more... wiry? That dwarf is quite good, though. "C'maaaaahn... Bring it!" This wizards are good for plastics, and an improvement over the current range of metal models (from 4th edition?). The Hellblaster looks top-heavy to me, but it could just be the angle of the photograph.

So does the photo suggest that the Flagellant box set will only let you build ten of them?  At what cost?

All the whipping yourself seems to get you some sexy pumped arms...maybe a new trend?

I dislike the dwarf for some reason...Imo, dwarfs shouldn't have that look in their eyes. Other than that, Empire plastics...sadly no use for them. When will Skaven and Vampire models come out?

My guess was like the other new Empire plastics - $22 for 10

I don't know what the deal is with BWB but those flagellant's heads look pretty good for IG/Cultists/Space Wolf heads.

And it also comes with "pointing dude", and "holding a board man". Well worth that 35 bucks, IMO.

Gotta agree with Magnus, nice, nice models but lousey arms, since when do flagellents spend so much time in the gym?

Looks like good fodder for mixing with zombies for WH Fanatics.

You guys are looking at the Flagellants all wrong.

GW clearly wanted to come out with a set that would be backward compatible with the Crapachan plastics for the thousands of IG players who've been dying for an easy way to use the 'Warrior Weapons' doctrine.

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

The wizard(s) look nice. I'd like to see their component sprue before I decided on buying one though. The Flagellants are definately something I can see myself buying though, but as others have said, it'd be for Daemonhunters/Chaos Cultists, so the gym-rat arms don't bother me. If I was actually using them for a WFB Empire force, though, yeah, they're a bit OTT.

A lot of the newer Empire stuff works well in that whole Inquisitorial sense, really. Shame I never get around to finishing this stuff...

I think Flattop would be more combat effective if they let him out of the stocks.

Someone with more modeling and painting skill than myself should do a diorama using the screaming head-holding hellblaster guy and the old classic noise marine.  Maybe throw in a Dee Snyder daemon prince conversion.  Stick it on one of those nice fancypants wooden bases with a plaque reading "I WANNA ROCK!"  Instant Golden Demon winner.  Sweet.

WOW! Some of those flaggelants' arms and heads are taken directly from the Chaos Maruaders sprue - specifically the front rank, far left head and far right arms.....nothing like taking the time to actually sculpt new parts eh GW?

The Volley Gun's pretty nice though

I've seen the Flagellants in person at Games Day and...

The flagellants are absolutely NOT ultra-beefy like the Catachans and Chaos Marauders, which for the record I think are terrible sculpts. They have nice muscle definition in the arms and chests but they are much scrawnier. It would take about three Flagellants arms to equal one Catachan arm. It would look ridiculous if you swapped arms back and forth. The 'Eavy Metal paint jobs may have over-accentuated the muscles a bit but they look great in person. I would say it’s the best plastic unit I've ever seen from GW. The proportions are very true to life, and the anatomy is great. Not sure what I will use them for yet, but definitely something.

The wizards looked pretty cool to, nothing much to add about them though.

It’s amazing how anxious some people are to hate miniatures.

I like all of the new models, although the Dwarf BSB seems to have a sort of a strange grin on him. He seems to be giving the opponent the finger.

Well, as Ed Maule once famously said: "Therion's from Finland, where comp does not exist. Where he's from the trash we're forced to field for a tournament would lose to a 12 year old." - bigchris1313

Those wizards look like some nifty necromancers!

And the flagellants will work well as zombie fodder or cultists/marauders.

The dwarf looks like he shouldn't be allowed near children....
