... just noticed that Mongoose Publishing's Starship Troopers Slingshot Drop Boat has been listed again on the Alliance Games web site.  Hopefully this time around it will finally be released.  At the $44.95 it's a quarter of the price of Forgeworld's Valkyrie and a third of the price of the Vulture.

Also listed are the following:

MGP 920026 STE Arachnid Rippler Bugs $44.95
MGP 920075 STE Forth Altos Gunship $39.95
MGP 920092 STE Skinnie Starlight Skimmers $39.95

Are those Skinnie Skimmers these horrible Jetbikes with two drivers, one manning a machine gun type of laser?
If not, pics please!

EDIT: slightly off topic: Anyone with experience with the Overseer bug? I ordered one for a winged Hive Tyrant and it would be nice to have some thoughts shared...

I'd be happier if they had a Viking or a Skyhook. I've been waiting for those for years now.

Come on, a quarter as nice would be a shoebox with cut out windows and some strapped on wings for good measure!

C'mon Breotan, you're better than a 'you don't like it get out of the hobby' one-liner. Everyone has different opinions. And that's what makes the world a beautiful place.

Except North Korea. There, you have to like the Valkyrie.

syr8766 dropping the hobby?  say it isn't so...with the new baby on the way you will have more time to paint

I heart SYR 8766

For all your bravado, if the US Army decided to invade, Wisconsin is it?, in force supported by a heavy bombing campaign for the month before, weeks of shelling from battleships on Lake Superior, and a full tank thrust (crushing the cows beneath the treads), I don't think that your .22 is going to make much of a difference really... Asmodai (my new hero)

At some point these sorts of decision-making skills lump you into the same camp as the Lehman Brothers, the White Star Line shipping company, and mothers who smoke during pregnancy.

Those things are freaking awesome looking. I've been waiting for the slinghot to be released ever since they first revealed it. From what I can tell from Alfred Wong's master (I'm pretty sure he's the maker), it's a fantastic looking kit, and the price is definitely right, especially if this is to be a resin kit (or even plastic).

Nah, not totally out; just not into 40k at the moment. Perhaps that will change (I'm chewing on the idea of a GK army, just for kicks and 'cause I've got the figs lying around), but I'm more focused on other projects at the moment.
