I recently finished my first fully scratch built vehicle, an Ork Lungbursta tank.  I plan to use it as a looted LeMan Russ.

With some boyz for scale.  It has the same footprint as a Russ, but isn't as tall.

Here's one with an unfinished alternate turret (it's swappable thanks to magnets).

Very, very cool. I look forward to seeing it painted (It's not painted, right?).

Very nice, if you told me it was an old Armorcast kit I would have believed you.

It's Rust-oleum Dark Gray automotive primer, which is a bit strange as primer goes.  It goes on a touch heavy and comes out very dark, near black, with a chalky matte finish.  The chalky finish rubs off leaving the semi-gloss finish you see above (I used an old toothbrush to do the buffing).

I'm not quite sure if I'll buy it again, but one plus is that it seems to handle humidity well.  At the same time that I primed the Lungbursta, I primed another model with white and got thefuzzies from the humidity.  Luckily I was able to use that toothbrush to buff out the fuzzies after the white dried to touch and saved the model.

It's perfect. It looks exactly like a Lungbursta should.

Nice model! Most spray paint (especially automotive) is not great for models. Better to stick to the special purpose stuff.

Like Yakface, I look forward to seeing paint on there.
