http://uk.games-workshop.com/goldendemon/2007%2Dseason/1/ Bam! And nicely done everyone who entered, some impressive work this time around. The veteran broadside is particularly inspiring for my fledgling Tau ... But digging on all the high quality, grizzled humans (guard, empire, brets) and the great duels. - Salvage

Ok, the Death Kore Grenaders were really well painted and lots of skill put into the conversions. But really, once you take the helmets off, they just turn into every day guard. Not a fan of that. The duels were really nice!

I'm a bit non-plussed at the winning Carni, too clean cut for my tastes (still really good though).
I love the Imp. Officer on horseback, that's my pick of the bunch.

Always a pleasure to see and the pics never do the entries any credit what so ever 08 I'd like to go for my second GD with little something I've been slowly working for.

The DKoK with the Malcador tank in the Open category and the Ultra Dread are awesome, but my favorites are the monochrome undead.

I wasn't feeling most of the entries... a little bland and I didn't rate that Carnifex that much. I've seen much nicer conversions and paint jobs. As Migs said however some of these photos were diabolical and really did the minis no help, for example that Kroot squad picture is useless you can hardly see them. My favorite has to be Mark Bedfords Malcador... Amazing and I love what he did with the mounted commissar!!! Once agian Forgeworld lead the way creatively and with great flair.

Yeah, the photos were definitely too dark.
I really enjoyed the Death Corps tank with the troopers and the officer on the horse, but I think the tops is still that Forgeworld Great Unclean One. I just wish the lighting weren't so, well, bad.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias |
