1745 Total

10 Scoring Units

Here are my thoughts on each unit:

1. The biker boss is just too good to pass up. A toughness 6 IC, with 6(!) Str. 10 Attacks on the charge. I decided to take the added protection of the 4+/5+ over the attack squig especially because he can get caught in a protracted combat if he is always going last, and I just didn't have the points.
2. Boyz in trucks. I took 5 because I figured that was enough, plus it works out from a modeling stand point (6 boyz squad boxes equal 60, 5 x 12 = 600). The opted to stay away fom HWs in the squad because I figured they weren't necessary. Trukks are also kept with minimal upgrades. Red Paint job is almost mandatroy in my eyes and the reinforced ram is well worth the points. I gave the whole unit frags intead of the trukk upgrade because I didn't want them to suffer any penalties in rolling advances after they leave the trukk. On a modeling stand point, I will probably stretch two trukk models bitz between the 5 that I need. Don't worry, no humvies for me. If I do use anything outside of pure plastic card, great lengths will be taken to ensure you have a hard time telling. I love the new trukk model, but I don't want any one trukk to look the same anyways.
3. Bikers are just cool, and the new models cannot be passed up. Besides, the Warboss needs friends.
4. Skorchas I took because I think they are cool. Also they provide a good counter to if I ever face of against an army that outnumbers me, like walking Orks. They will probably the more expensive conversion I have in mind because I plan to mix in the new bikers with the existing model.
5. Warbuggies are another "because they are cool" choice, but also puts much needed anti-tank into the list.
6. The battlewagons provide a decent amount of shooting to the list. Essentially they are just a little worse Leman Russes in that configuration. The one choice I made on them that was modeling before effectiveness was the Deff rolla, because it really plays into my own mental image of what I want the battlewagons to look likw, and it makes the tank decidedly Orky.

Tell me what you think!

Here is my conceptual drawing for what I imagine my Battlewagons are going to look like.

I am pretty much trying to match thematically the Battle Fortress that Forgeworld produces:

With the boss on the bike you'll get the 4+ save so you can drop the eavy armor and take the attack squig cause 6 attacks is cool but 7 is much cooler .

The bikes are useless unless you take 11(which sucks cause the models are awesome). Your gonna hurt in the leadership department but they could do ok with your boss. Maybe instead take some kommandos or stormboyz or even more buggies with rokkits?

But other than that i like the list everyone says lootas are a must but i didnt care for them. Then again i only ran one squad of 15 and i couldnt roll worth crap but still shooty orks with bs 2 just doesnt work for me. Havent used a battle wagon yet i like taking 2 bid gunz batteries of kannons.

This is silly! Buttons are not how one escapes dungeons! I would smash the button and rain beatings liberally down on the wizard for playing such a trick!

Looks like a pretty fun list to play with. I immediately noticed a lack of anti-tank (or should I say anti-skimmer, since all those PK's will crush most tanks). I don't really know how to prevent that in a pure speed freaks list though.

I would take more warbuggies with rokkits, but since you have decided you really want to have the warbikes and the skorcha's I don't really know what's left. You could replace the warboss with the special character that allows Bikers to be taken as troops so you can free up a fast attack slot for additional warbuggies. You will need to drop something in order to fit it in though, perhaps one of the trukk units.

Another option could be to drop some reinforced rams or stikkbombs to free up points for a rokkit launcha on every trukk.

Whatever you decide to do with the list there is just one thing you absolutely need to change and that is dropping the 'eavy armour from the warboss. The bike grants him the 4+ armor save already so it's basically just wasted points. Also the attack squig is great, try to squeeze it in there.

Furthermore, I can't wait to see one of those finished battlewagons of yours. Don't forget to take pictures and post them!

I think this list would be better if the battlewagons were dirt cheap and full of 20 sluggas each.

Then you drop the bikes for some lootas, change skorchas out for more warbuggies with rokkits.

Looks like a good start, but those bikers are useless like everyone else has said.

There's absolutely no reason your boss can't run with a unit of stormboyz if he needs an escort.
