So Dark Angels, Black Templars, Space Wolfs and World Eaters have plastics to call their own.

Who should be next and why?

Bring back legion of the damned. Might as well be a whole codex while you're at it...why?....because it would generate sales like crazy, you know it would.

I think you might see more chaos chapters before you will see any more marine chapters getting plastic figs. My bet would be to see either Death Guard or Emperor's Children.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

I was going to say Space Wolves need a new one but a really sweet Nurgle kit would sell loads.

White scars. Not interested in them myself but it may add more variety to the styles people play in.

If they're going to make these 'upgrade' kits I'd rather see a more generic one - small chains, insence balls, flaming torches, servo skulls, flying babies..... Just generic gothicy bits. Some of the artwork recently has been amazing and I've been trying to get the flavour into my models, marines expecially and tend to buy BT and DA squads for the few extra bits rather than the standard tactical. They could even do a range of them - gothic, jungle, xenos, mechanised, trench. I love the way you get that little floating baby and a baby griffon in the empire hero kit, why not do a frame with loads of cool bits like these? The basing kits seemed to go well, do more but to add bits to figures fluff wise or warzone related rather than concentrating on bases? The sprues could even include the odd themed base to make sergants/heros stand out that little bit more.

Because EVERY army needs flying babies! Sisters? Give 'em wings! Orks? Put 'em in a catapault!

Your sentance made me happy. Now I can spend the rest of the morning giggling at the idea of flinging babies through the air at the enemies of the Imperium.

Thank you.

I definitely agree with your idea too. A general "stuff" sprue would be great. Most of the bitz I have been buying lately (and there have been a LOT) have been random decorative parts like scrolls, things on chains, etc. I think they could make a good bit of cash if they made a box called "Crap that is WAY too annoying to bother making out of GS".

Sisters of Battle.

Because the idea of another sub-army being done in plastics before a full-fledged army getting even one plastic model is utterly absurd to me.

Failing that, Grey Knights.
Easily the most unique of all Space Marines, and again, an entire army without plastics.

Failing THAT, since Grey Knights aren't technically Space Marines, Death Guard.
There is so much potential for Nurgle Marines it's staggering.

After converting up 60+ PM's for my Death Guard army and getting excited about new models back in the day only to have it crushed by those very "meh" and pricey new ones...

I would like to see a proper plague marine kit, but i did like how they did the Templar and DA conversion packs. A little more expensive arguably but you could do some cool and unique things with them.

Marines getting stuff before other armies? You're shocked?

What can I say but... welcome to the games workshop hobby!

Anyway first off I would love for GW to FINALLY do a new Marine chapter. It seems like everything is still retreds of Rogue Trader.

So Japanese themed or African themed or WWII themed or ANYTHING BUT SKULL THEMED marines would be my first pick.

Failing that Nurgle Marines with the gas masks and spiked helmets would be aces. Iron Hands (cyborg marines) would also add something new to the mix.

I agree, cyborg marines would be cool. And give me grist for the mill of converting up some possessed Iron Warriors.

Heretic...

Heretics? No they just keep it a deep dark secret that only a few of the chapter know about. But to throw off the Inquisition they ride around in open topped skimmers, which are common on their world. So they have a secret and ancient skimemr technology. Isn't that cool! Further, they have holosuits which makes their armor look like civilian clothes (unfortunately its ancient and the AM don't want to mess with the machine spirits, so all their holosuits are permanently set to the setting they were found with-"high school goth party")

So they have a secret, ancient skimmer technology, and ancient holosuit technology which is lovingly preserved but the secret of which is forgotten. Isn't that cool!

Bring on the plastics!

See that is all part of their clever plot. In order to make the "civie effect" work even better, various members of the chapter have holosuits pretuned to exibit certain feminine attributes. Their opponents get close and then "POW!" (tm) "BAM!" (tm) the marines attack. So not only are they uber pwonage, but they're sneaky.

Isn't that cool!

So they're not really females, just mechanically changed to appear so, right?

Exactly. And some even look like they're riding surf boards. Isn't that cool!

to the topic-
Salamanders would be interesting. Iron Snakes as well (marines in Sabbat crusade).

I'd rather see the Mentors though. The image of the Mentor marine being suited up was my first image of a marine. Coolness.

Ultramarines need more.

No more having to scrounge Nid bits for your veterans.
No more having to buy generic marines to get the Ultra shoulderpads, etc.

Oh, and most importantly... Of COURSE, I'm kidding.

Seriously, though, I think that Tzeentch (T-Sons) or Nurgle (Deathguard) need more plastic love.

The T Sons would be heads & torsos (like the metals) in plastics, maybe some bike farings & Dread pieces.

I can see it now, a Nurgle specific sprue... a couple mutated panels to slap on your dread, some "hanging guts" pieces, tentacles and ooze. Parts for every unit.
Oh, Yes. I want a Nurgle Sprue.

We could get a Slaanesh sprue... it would just be all boobies (Glue 'em everywhere. You can never get enough boobies... Especially on Slaaneshi units).
