A new company is going to put out 48 multipart plastic Romans for $30.
They have a neat article about their plastic milling and 3d virtual sculpting too.

Obviously I want to see the finished results, I remember the disapointment that was Gangs of Mega City One, but if they're decent I'll pick them up.

I think that Roman looks a bit chunky and "heroic" but we'll have to wait for the complete kits to know for sure.

Yeah, kind of squat looking. Not quite as elegant a sculpt as some other companies, but it looks like the company is new, so I'd assume quality will improve pretty quickly after they get a few runs completed. Still, for the price, it looks pretty nice.

Well if I am getting more then one model per $1 then I will not complain about the quality too much. This company has just made my gaming life easier for conversions I will be doing soon. Now when they do Roman Cavalry will the riders come separate...

Holy cow - I'm totally impressed by the Beast and the bits used to make the molds. Although looking at the coin they showed, it just makes you realize how our advancing technology is allowing for more counterfeiting...

It's plastic so cutting is less of an issue, too.

They're a bit chunky, but at those prices, complaining about is a minor quibble, nothing more. Nice to see historical games are making headway into the world of plastic, hopefully the investment pays off, especially in 28mm scale.

If historical game companies are going to do heroic 28, it would seems a wise idea for them to make their range an easy source of conversion parts for other systems- especially GW. It'd be another whole market if they were advertised correctly.

They need to not be too large to fit on existing rules bases.
The most popular base size for 25mm figures is 60mm wide and needs to accomodate four figures in one rank.

If TheWarStore can get them and offer them at the typical discount, I'll be all over these, and I don't even play any historical games.
Just think of all the bizzare IG legions you make...
I also notices that Spartans and Persians are on their to do list... That Persian Army is going to be a bitch to paint

I can't help but think of the cool looking undead skeleton legions I will be able to easily make now. These guys make that project so much easier.

That is a nice link and the game looks interesting but I only have a GW game shop for me to play at so I will need some GW parts in the model for them to let me use them.
But it does hold some promise. Thank you Kilkrazy
