All I know is that the band Bolt Thrower really is/was based in Warhammer, with GeeDub's consent and support. Dunno about Caliban, Wiki doesn't mention warhammer in there ...

edit....looked them up on Wiki and no its not the same band, what the hell is "deathcore"?

"Carnifex" is Latin for "executioner," so there's really no implicit 40K reference there.
