Has anyone out there played or seen any good modern era skirmish games using 28mm or 1/35 minis. 40k is getting a little stale for me, thinking of taking a break and trying something new.

p.s. I am familiar with "Combat: Evolution", but have never played it. Is it any good?

Why wouldn't you adapt Flames of War? I like that engine. Also, Epic 40k.

Sounds interesting, how does it play and does anyone produce modern minis in that scale? -"Flames of war" that is.

Flames of War is standard 15mm, but you could easily go to 1/72 models.
