On a little display base for a painting competetion at Origins Game Convention (took 3rd Large Model )
Not much to say, really. The highlights on the gun and hood are a little washed out 'cause I fail at taking pics.
Anyway, here he is...

Nicely done! Not too sure how much the camo pattern hides him but a great job, really like the boney rifle.

That's not camo, Kyoto, it's starbursts, this only confirms to me who Ghidorah is though.

Can it be? Party liquor rain!?

It's great camo. He sits in space and shoots people from far far away.

Nice work. Could we get a better frontal shot, though? This one doesn't really give us the detail. It also made me think, on first glance, that the mini had a gigantic set of antennae sprouting from its back.

Really nice job. You don't see too many INQ minis painted up, which is a shame.

Camo? It looks like a bedsheet!

Seriously, it's very nice, very clean work.

awsome, so do you actually play inquisitor with the =I= models? i never could justify the ranges with models that big

HAHA! I are found out? Shhhhh...
Also, your name does not ring a bell with me. Apparently, you are under a new identity also?

Basterious666- I do not play =I=. I am an avid Eldar player who loved the =I= Ranger so much that I had to paint one. I like the thought of a large model scaled warband game in the 40k universe. Unfortunately, nobody around here plays it.

Everyone else- I guess I should have added that I was not going for a "camo" pattern, per se. Not your traditional sniper, Eldar or otherwise. Maybe this is his dress uniform? Just got back from thumb wrestling the Young King? Meh...

The bed sheet matches his "Spaceman Underoos!"

Not an avid Eldar player, but I love the figs and I have to say that
I did the same thing. Not as well as you did, but I also painted an
Eldar Ranger in Inquisitor scale.

I really love the ranger model. It's got so much elegance and flow to it. All those layers he's wearing really give you a chance to go all out.

You've done a great job capturing that same elegance. Though I'm somewhat thrown by the uniformed star pattern. It's done nicely, but seeing the nice solid colors from the front to look at the back of the mini and see it all broken up is somewhat off putting.

Yeah. I see what you're saying. Well, the major contributor to me painting this guy this way was that my 40k Eldar army is painted in that scheme. I jumped at the chance to re-create my Eldar's look on a bigger model. The ranger here is a mish-mash of the various elements of my mini-Eldar.

As for the solid front/broken up rear, well, you only see one side at a time, right? Unless he is on the display base with the mirror, that is...

Inquisitor isn't for playing, it's for painting. The larger models are slightly more naturally proportioned, and proportionally more detailed.

So true. Not that I play 40k or WFB, but I still paint them. Having said that, I can see the lure of these types of game. HWen it comes to =][= though, it's all about the painting (and modelling). Maybe I should take some pics of my =][= stuff too.

Nice model.

I can appreciate that ^_^. I would love to convert an Inq space marine some day and paint him up in Grey Death Legion colors. I'm just too lazy/cheap/swamped... x.x.
