All thanks to Philbrad, who was/is reporting live from the scene...
" 40K Seminar
Tim Deakin (?) design studio head honcho MC'd with Rick Priestley, Alessio and Andy H.
Primary run through the rule book , basic changes etc...
Q&A - No Combat Patrol or Kill Team rules in the rulebook. CoD and APOC are fully 5th ed compliant (surprise!) However it was mentioned smaller sized game rules will appear in one of a number of 40K expansions being worked on.
40K "Mighty Empires" confirmed by RickP for '09 he has the resin casts of the 40K tiles. Defence lines, spaceports, bunkers and a multipart hive city were mentioned.
Confirmation of a policy change, instead of armies being done all in one lump with the codex, additional releases for armies will be coming out over a period of time - as we're seeing with Ork and there is a plan to expand Plaguebearwers and Horrors into plastic "at some stage".
WD - All WD' sc are now centrally controlled from Lenton to prevent as Rick put it 'anarchy!' They are quite aay of the lack of hobby content in the mag and are looking to remedy this.
More to follow ...
5th ed rulebook on display. Noticed it has army lists in the back
SM one includes Apothecary as a separate choice (again) interestingly Scouts WS/ BS stats stay as they are.
Space wolf list still includes the Exterminator and all the other usual Wolfies.
APOC:Reloaded. looks good. As mentioned datafaxes for All Scout force, all Deathwing. Looks a good book actually.
SM stuff - Bits form the new codex on show. SM Vets get 'Vengeance' rounds shorter range AP3 rounds specifically for taking out power armour.
Legion of the Damned are also in the codex.
More to follow ..."
Next, Art Is Resistance also posted his own report
"I'm just uploading photos of the pages with the LotD on them now!
Rick mentioned that there are several supplements being worked on that will cover Kill Team etc... by Jervis and his team that would be released in the future. Rick's opinion was that as the rules are written now, it's easier to take 40 down to 500pts with the rules as they stand, unlike WFB. No details were forthcoming about Planetstrike or any other named supplement....
Interesting thing was how vocal Rick P. was re; GW / WD policy - he seemed very hacked off at the direction WD had / is taking, and that now the design studio had more control over Wd, he'd like to see more rules based stuff in there... - in fact, there was projec the nearly mentioned, but stopped short after a glare from Tim....
Rick also mentioned Dark Eldar - he's got the mini's and the codex - I'm not sure (philbrad may be able to correct me) but I oculd have sworn I heard him say he'd sent it back as it was '*****'..!
As Philbrad said, he was effusive about the ME 40K - it won't be seen until next year, but will be fully compatible with WFB ME. In fact, it was another thing that Rick sent back to try again to the Dev Team.
There will be no new races for the forseeable future (so no change on the party line from last year), as to support the races they already do is hard enough. Though Rick did mention Squats more than once - but in the context of tongue in cheek 'after too many cappucino's' was the phrase...
Apocalypse Reload - DOES have the website Datafaxes in there - but the pictures for the likes of the Khorne Tower of Skulls, Plaguetwoer etc.. are new conversions. The book is nicely presented, softback.
(...)
DE are well into development, like I said - Rick P was quite keen to point out that they would be seeing 'some love' soon.
the ME 40K tileset will have a space port, hive city (that can be built up to quite a large size), fortresses, a 'maginot line' style wall set to name a few! The tiles will be the same size as the WFB ones - this was one Rick P's wishlist from the get go - he sent it back to the Dev team as it wasn't! He's on his third set apparently...."
Some interesting stuff, I'll be checking it out after I upload it
Due to some stupid mistake (probably on my behalf) I can't get the links to work. So here's the link to the original thread:

You've copied his abbreviated links. You need to open them up into a separate window and then copy the URL from the address bar.
But please remove the links to the pictures of the codex pages. . .I guarantee that GW legal will have those removed from Warseer in a bit.
Here's a repost of Philbrad's pictures from Warseer. Use the link pasted in the OP for more details.

Anyway, links removed.
Azhag is the correct name, I believe - though he's been shown more than a year ago, and he's yet to be released... too bad, I think he looks really great.
And I might be investing in some Sternguard, they look awesome (but from the images all I could see is that they've got BS4... weren't there rumours of BS5?)

Good call, this way its not 4 or more years wait if your not a SM based army... plastic plaguebearers? Yes please.

Wow I just saw the New White Scar special character and he's awesome! He can have his entire army exchange the combat tactics rule with the outflank rule! This even includes dedicated transports!
The unit he joins gets both the Hit and Run special rule and furious charge!
His bike allow him to run and then gives him fleet, so that he can assault in the assault phase!
Finally to top it all off is his power sword, which any rolls to wound which come up a "6" cause instant death regardless of their toughness!
Awesome! The new marine codex is gonna be an issue for my wallet!
Thanks,
Chappy P!

Was there any confirmation what the Combat Tactics rule is? The Warseer seems to have blown up~~

Supposedly Combat Tactics is something like the ability to automatically fail a morale check to fall back out of combat and then auto-rally at the start of the next turn.
But I'm not sure about the exact details.

Warseer has the ammo rules up, seem needlessly complicated and 3rd editiony
Dragonfire Bolts:
Range 24"
S4
AP 5
Rapid Fire
Ignores Cover*
*Ignores Cover: Cover saves cannot be taken against Dragonfire Bolts
Hellfire Rounds:
See Page 100 (So another unit in the army has Hellfires? Interesting..)
Kraken Bolts:
Range 18" (?)
Strength 4
AP 4
Rapid Fire
Vengeance Bolts:
Range 18"
Strength 4
AP 3
Rapid Fire
Gets Hot!

Warseer is back up a running now! The page I saw Kor'sarro Khan rules (that's his name) only mentioned that the combat tactics could be changed to outflank, but it didn't specifically mention what exactly combat tactics does do in the first place. Yakface is right about what the current rumors of it are, but so far in the now 4 page thread, there has been no mention of it.
This was posted by both Philbrad2 and Art is resistance:

If the rumored Space Marine Changes are true the Dark Angel are going to be even more SPED like than ever before. Maybe when they get their 6th edition codex they won't be stuck with overpriced and crappy rules options.
Still regular marines sound fun.

For all the rumors that ATSKNF is no more, a look at Khan's special rules would imply otherwise.
That's good. I always liked the rule. Well, I always liked the name, anyway.

Nice to hear Rick Prietly taking the heavy hand and just saying that dreck isnt good enough to put the GW name on it.
I wonder what got Priestly back into the 40K fold?
I thought he was firmly entrenched into LOTR. Perhaps there is no longer any need for his rules prowess there so he went and straightened out some snafus in 40K/
Regardless, its good to hear that he is back. Perhaps he can set a few things straight that may have been misplaced since Andy Chambers left.
All around I would have to say that this sounds like some promising rumours.
After not playing 40k for awhile, I may just be pleasantly surprised come this summer/fall.

Not sure about 5th ed., but in 4th all IC's have Skilled Rider. Perhaps any entry for bikes as troops is listed in the Army List section of the new codex.

It's tile-based.
The rest, it ain't.
The fantasy version sucks.
Why would the 40k system be any better?
Why would I want to play in such a system?
What, I'm the only one who's played in all of GW's campaigns and they've all been worthless and unfun.
OH BOY I GOT THE +BULL POWER/ITEM/GIBBERISH LAND AND NOW I AM THE WIN.
Come on. Gonna be more of the same, GW hasn't put together a fun campaign or narrative system yet.

I thought everyone loved the General's Compendium (or whatever the Fantasy one was called). Even so, what's wrong with a tilebased system for campaigns (ignoring GW's influence or lackthereof).

No HBMC.
It's my opinion, in my reality.
I'm entitled to it.
You have yours, in yours.
Which I also don't care about.
You want GW to take care of your narrative needs, go right ahead.
I don't have them. Not interested. I think it's incredibly dorky, and that's saying something considering our hobby is playing with little men.
Btw, we used these high tech tools for our last "campaign".
And this big image...
