Hello people. I was at my local games workshop and i was told that there was going to be a new race coming out for warhammer 40k. I was told that the race had something to do with SM. One of the staff members told me that the new race had tails and that they were kind of like space skaven. Does anybody have any information on this topic

The newest race is Daemons, which isn't really a new race, as they were in the old Chaos Codex...

Also - what? SM Skaven? Some sort of horrible, be-tailed Skaven Marines? This sounds completely made up.

Well what do i know this was told to me by one of the staffs

GW recently stated that there would be no new races made.

But then again, they also said that there wouldnt be rules printed in WD anymore and they go ahead and give the BA mini dex in WD.

So who knows?

A race with tails that has something to do with the Tau SM? Maybe a long lost sub-species of grots that fly on rockets and have tails for steering.

That would be the Hrud.

There have been rumours of their imminent arrival since 3rd edition was released... largely fueled by their picture being included in the 3rd ed rulebook, as some people seem to feel that GW producing a picture means that they will at some point produce a miniature to match.

I wouldn't hold your breath.

Though the Hrud did have a small story in the Blood Angels codex, if I'm not mistaken. Yes, the 3rd edition one.

No one has heard about a new race for 40K.



I would not be so quick to dismiss the notion though, since GW managed to keep a really tight lid on the daemons until only a couple of months before their release.


However, considering the source is a lowly Redshirt, he was probably just messin' with ya.

DE are getting a big revamp and Space Wolves are coming out soon.

Its a Troglydium Hrudii AKA Hrud... At first it was meant to look like a space skaven but latest infos about them on Xenology book lets us believe its completly diferent organism...

I hope that this is Ok, theyre the small ones down the bottom. The really interesting thing is that two non-existant races then are show, and they are all actual races now. (Kroot, Necrons), and the blob appears to be a spore mine. Is this the one that you're thinking of?
