Looks good. If I could make a few reccomendations:
1. Try thinning your paint with a little water when you paint, you want it to flow off your brush. This will give you more even coverage. A few light coats is better then trying to do one thick one. (ie, the white on the marines face and crest)
2. Try some washes. Washing the metallics with black, the blue and yellow on the crest with a dark blue wash/ watered down orange wash will help make those parts pop by adding some shading.
3. When you are painting a light color over black, such as your white, give the area a nice thin even coat of grey first, it'll help the white cover better and make it more even.
4. If you are comfortable with doing so, grab a pin vice and drill out the barrels on your guns! Just brigns a little something extra to the fig.
A nice looking mini, keep at it!

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity...... |

Wash is a generic term for thinning paint down to the point where you
can use it to shade recesses. However, GW has some ready to use washes and
you can thin down inks by other companies for similar effect.
btw: re-read mattyboy22's point number 2 if you're asking about color.
Oh, and:

You've got the basics down pretty good. Now you can begin the journey of shading, highlighting and detailing. It won't happen overnight, heck, I've been painting minis since '82 and still am learning. Just remember, if you are pleased with a model you have done, that's the only opinion that matters. Enjoy the hobby!

Heck, that's good for a beginner.
I remember my best mini when I started being a mess of blue and gold. Like an angel exploded near it.

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth
Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags. |

Actually I prefer the GW Delvan Mud wash over the P3 Armor Wash. All you do is dab a small ammount onto your metal bits and then spread it around.
