ok... maybe not, but this is still really cool. If you like Lego.
And if you don't like Lego you should see a Dr.

FREAKIN' AWESOME!

We actually played fantasy with lego men back in the day. Using the big flat plates made great movement trays.

I got a set of legos with the "Giant Troll" and he is a huge and awesome toy to play with!

I'm not sure I would make a Fatty army out of him, but he's still a great toy.

yea but how are legos any worse than 1-2" tall little plastic men make believe shooting each other?

Because stepping on a lego brick hurts worse.

try doing a search for lego railway on google - there's proper hobby clubs set up for it! You should check it out, the amount these guys get through makes our hobby look cheap!

Nothing wrong with loving your Legos long into life... The Mindstorms Robitics kit sells mostly to "boys" over 30. Heck, I mean you are still playing army men after all...

Well, 5 Skeletons come at 10€...so GW is actually cheaper!

But would be funny as hell and I wouldn't mind playing against one.

Yeah, but they're pre-painted!

I remember getting a set of Lego warriors when they first came out in the US in the early 80's. Used the Chainmail rules for endless Saturdays of carnage. As a matter of fact, that's what got me into Warhammer.

And its educational!

Scythe
Originally an agricultural tool for reaping grass, but the evil skeletons enjoy using it as a weapon. The scythe is used either 2 handed on a staff or single handed as an inversed scimitar.

.... Oh dear god.

I don't think my wallet can afford 5th ed AND this new awesome Lego Castle line.

I've followed pretty much every Lego Castle line since 1989 (the Fright Knights were the absolute WORST line, by the way), and this one may be one of the absolute best. The simple fact that they give you a "knight" box set with just a dude and some weapon and armor options is enough to make me want to start another army of Legomen. My biggest complaint was finding the armor and helmets I needed for all my men. Looked less military, more militia. Bleh.

I don't like that it looks like they've done away with your classic archer, I never did get enough to field a good company of archers. But I can live with that, since I've got Orks now!

.... ok I'm seriously considering getting some of these sets. The fact that I'm not the only one above the age of 20 that's interested in this has soothed my concerns.

Lego is just... SO COOL! I mean look at all the different armors there are! And in awesome little sets! AND DWARVES! Oh I wonder if the dwarves are actually shorter than your typical legoman. I hope they didn't get cheap on the Dwarves. And real enemies! Not just different colored Knights (which screwed with my armory something fierce "OK is this black helm for the Black Knight of the King's Kingdom or the stupid Fright Knight?!") but different races! And fantasy races too. Man this is a huge step up for Lego. Oh and now I hear Elves are next! SWEET!

I'm... far more excited than I should be.

Those of us with children have the perfect excuse to pick these sets up... what better way to set your scion on the path of war?

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
