As no Ork army is complete without a Stompa, I am building one. I ran into a problem though. How do you make a convincing Lifta Droppa?

for the arm on mine, I'll be using girders from an old Airfix pontoon bridge kit, with lots of thick power cables along it. Not sure how to make the actual traktor-beam bit on the end though - in theory any sort of zappy-looking electrodes would be ok, but I haven't been inspired yet.

The one in the Apocalypes book looks ok and appears to be just made from bitz, so maybe I'm overthinking it...

Would pimping a zapp gun work for you as the source of the tractor beam?

See if you can find any of the old Airfix Robogear models, there were some nice 'electrode' looking bits in some of them (used a few for my VSF vehicle weapons...)

It's pretty short ranged anyway, isn't it? You can have it as an actual claw if that strikes you as cool.

Many a Sentinel pilot has hesitated to call his vehicle a walking coffin after battling beside a Dreadnought.
