Here is a Battlewagon I got in a Sekrit Santa event over on The Waaagh. Built by Lorax, and embelished a bit by me. Here I wanted to add something, but it had to have Lorax's style. So, I added a tank hatch, hoping it would look like a porthole. I also added some exhausts, because what is Orkier than having your fuel and combustion in the same place? Fun! There is also a magnetized Big Shoota I built from a lascannon and some other cobbled bits....but I can't find it now! I also did all the rivets...I actually LIKE doing rivets.

I played with this in a campaign this past weekend. I named it Da DurDregga, which means 'Fortress Smasher' afterwards. In the third battle, our objective was to take over an Imperial stronghold. Each wall had 2 structure points, and you could only take away structure points with a penetrating hit. I parked Da DurDregga right outside the front wall, and my trukk full of MANZ with Toegnasher at their front door. By turn one, there was no more front wall . I tankshocked the front wall, and rolled 6 on a d6 with 4 pens! I then took out a tower the same way. On the third wall I tried to smash (which the 'umie player had thoughtfully lined up for me like a bowling lane) I rolled d6 hits again! No pens though. It was alot of fun just to drive it around and run stuff over, especially as it had been knocked out first turn in the previous games

I primered it with rustoleum. I then did a few quick, sloppy coats of watered down Iyanden Darksun. It then sat for a few more days, so I could look at it and see where I wanted to go with it. Well, no inspiration came to me...so I just started painting tonite . 3 hours of painting, and this is my base coat and ideas. I know it is very sloppy, and I have done no highlighting. Well, this is all I threatened this month . I will be hitting it with probably 5 more layers of highlight per color on the average. So, while it may be tabletop, I am far from done.

The Pics!

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Nice Sekrit Santa gift!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Impressive! I love the tank on the back and the roller on front! Well done. The flame pieces coming off of the skulls is a lil cheesie though and the skulls do not look very Orky. Butw hat do I know, I am just a pastey white Nerd and not an Ork.

If I was you, I'd give all the yellow areas a wash of watered down brown ink, probably 80/20 mix of water/ink. This will give a weathered look and give it some realisim. I really like the modelling, but a bit more on the paint will really set it off. I'd also blacken around the exhausts for smoke discolouration.

If you want to go to make it look good without spending too much time, do the above, and then personalise it, write some graffiti "RazzNutz Wuz Ere".

Once you're happy with the painting, splatter some textured paint onto it, and paint this dark brown and give it a quick drybrush of a lighter shade. then dab some Gloss varnish on this in areas to make the mud look wet and fresh.

A bit of everything really....... Titanicus, Bolt Action, Cruel Seas, Black Seas, Blood Red Skies, Kingdom Death, Relic Knights, DUST Tactics, Zombicide the lit goes on.............

Thanks guys! I only put about 3 hours into paint, it's only base coats. I really just wanted to kinda map out what I wanted to do. I love the way the chains look, and I definately need to adjust the rust a bit on the other metal parts.

Next up will be highlighting and adding some depth to the colors. I plan on having lots of Glyphs, so don't worry about that Secret Squig! I am going to shy away from the inks, and use the new washes. I love the way they came out on the Deffskullz stuff I did. I promise the flames will come out nice as well!
