So for 3 points a model and used for a screen i'm beginning to really like the idea of getting allot of grots and fielding them. However I can't find any to buy. Like I can find a blister for 10 dollars for about 3. If i wanted to field a squad of 30 that would cost me about 100 dollars for these little guys. Can anyone find a better deal for these guys? Maybe some plastic grots?

The blister is all you'll get from GW at the moment.
You can sometimes find the plastic 2nd edition models on eBay.
Otherwise, buy WHFB Goblins and replace their weapons with basic guns (either make a shotgun-style weapon from plastic rod or use old lasguns or necromunda weapons).

There's also the 3-up green for a plastic grot, its picture is flying around somewhere. If you wanted to be patient, I suppose you could wait for the rumored grot mob plastic set to be released. Don't hold your breath though.

I'd love to field some grots.
I don't know that it's worth the time to convert any from WFB goblins.
It's certainly not worth the money the money to purchase them if you want to field them in any number.
Right now i'd only buy the metal grots to put one or two on Ork vehicles to represent Grot Riggers or Grot crewmen.
Since they're what i'd consider a goofy unit, i'd just wait until the plastic set (hopefully) comes out.
I wonder how many grots it will contain? Hopefully at least 20 and 2 runtherds. I wouldn't even care if the models were single piece.

Looks like the WHF goblins are about 20 for 30 dollars and i think it'd be fun to convert. Not sure where to get the guns to give em tho.

I'd just keep looking on ebay, eventually some of the older 2nd edition models will come up. I have around 50 to 60 and I paid under $20 for them- usually people have been unloading them since they are rather fugly.
If you do get your hands on some, check out this sweet conversion:

If you're looking on eBay, use the word "Gretchin" in your search (along with Warhammer 40k). I got about 120 off of eBay a few years ago. You know.
Just in case.

A qucik search on ebay stores turns up this auction, which has 18 of the old platic grots fro $24. It's not my auction, and I don't think I'm violating any rule by posting the link. If I am, please take it down with extreme prejudice

They have alot of different types if you look, I personally have over a couple hundred.
I pickeed them up from snatch and grab sales from close outs, got them from people who didn't want them, traded them for other stuff, got them from the gorkamorka days, got sweet deals off of tourney winnings, and convert them from WFB grots and the gun packets that were prevelent from gorka morka days. Knives and guns, FTW!!!
If you are lucky enough, you can get late 2d and the 3d edition stuff, with the character filled little guys with screwdrivers, slingshots, etc. Another good buy is a box of snotlings. mounting them up on the bases gives you different sized guys and adds to the variety.
Converting them isn't that hard, get the box of grots for fantasy, cut the bows off, and slide in a pistol. Necromunda guns, grot guns, etc. whatever you want.

EVERYWHERE!
Seriously, they're greenskins, they steal stuff. For every one of your friends who has a special weapon trooper in their squad, there is a grot blaster just waiting to be traded for/begged/mooched by you. Bolters, bolt pistols, lasguns, laspistols, shuriken catapults, pulse rifles, pulse carbines (should be able to get whole squads of these), shootas, sluggas, various necromunda guns, etc. etc.
Plus if you're converting goblins/gnoblars anyways, you can give them some cyborg parts (any spare bit that looks "limb-like") then when you feel like a laugh toss Grotsnik in and give them all 5+ invul saves.

If you don't have a deep bitz box or friends who can hook you up try battlewagon bitz and your local model shop. Several companies make 1/32 scale real world guns you can use. WWII bolt action rifles work well.
For bitz las guns, fantasy handguns, bolters with clips cut off all work well.

Buy WHFB snotling blisters. They are IMO perfect representations of grotz (with some creative conversion work of course). 2 of them will get you a squads worth + some extra.

Grots, eh????
Yeah made about thirty that came out well from WH goblins, not night goblins, the others, but you needs heaps of bits and extra ork pistols to make it work!
I have a question though, do you seriously want to field them? Minus the herders they are leadership 5!!!!!!! They have little range, can't waaargh, mob or ferocious charge! They only have wounds to offer, and they take up too much table space ina list that already has a lot of models. You realise that big blast and templates will just shred them! They only got to take a few hits to all run away!
Re-read your codex and note that 15 orks are mountains tougher and better than 30 grots!
Don't do it!
Believe me, my name has grot in it!

Its all for the cover save you'll get when people shoot thru them at your boyz. Though most people might send the 1st salvo at the grots to make them run, then shoot the boys.

Hence Grotsnik.
You can fit something like 150 Grots with 5+ invulnerable saves in a 2000 point list.

Thats why you use so many. Then as they tie up something, the boyz shoot through and come in on the flank for the assult.
Pure love!!!
15 or 30, its all about the massed footslog. set them up for the target, then they draw the fire. Then while ur opponent is worryin about the grots, they are getting hammered by the Big shootas, lootas, and heavy stuff from the flanks.
