Well I finnaly decided to start my Eldar army and I have no idea how to paint it. I had this awesome idea of a fireworld and made really cool lava bases (sorry no pics). But i'm at a total loss on how to paint them. What colors gp well with lava and ash? Also try to stay away from reds, blacks, and purples while tryong to keep an eldar feel (only because my Tyranids are purple and my blood angels are red and black).

Thanks I really appreciate the help.

You could go with a fire and ice them? Fire/lava bases and blue tinted armor?

What shade of blue are you talking about i'm mostly familiar with GW paints. Also wouldn't the out come of blue and fire/lava clash?

You could go with a codex gray which would tie in well with the lava theme as a smoke color.

Grey and white armor would probably give better contrast against the red-black lava.

But really, part of the problem is that you have uber-sexy bases. So it will be hard to get the Eldar to stand out.

I think you should consider a purple-white scheme for the color intensity.
