Should I get more of the Forgeworld Drop Pods or some of the new ones and mix types?

I've already got six of the larger Forgeworld Drop Pods in my army, but as I transition over to the new codex I'll need three more. If I get the new plastic pods, then I'll end up with a mix of both types, and only the newer ones will be able to open their doors (my current pods all had to be assembled with the doors glued shut due to terrible casting on Forgeworld's part)

Would it be better to just get more of what I already have?

Which would cause fewer problems with my opponents?

What is a FW droppod... $90? For the same amount as you would spend on three of those you could get 9 new plastic ones, build them with opening doors. Actually if you go to the Warstore or other online discount store you could get them for 20% off. You could even sell your current FW to offset the cost.

New ones. I've seen, and held, your FW ones. F'in heavy SOB's. Just get new ones, both are legal, your opponents won't have an issue

Get the Forgeworld ones. Also, grow a mullet and start using VHS again.

Just kidding, get the plastic ones you crazy fool.

They look the same!! The GW ones are just bigger.

And FW are redoing the Deathwind Pods as well to be conversion kits, so they're probably not even going to sell the current ones for much longer.

Thanks for the input, guys. I'll go with the new plastics.

I plan on gluing the doors shut and mounting the weapon externally like I have on my previous pods. That way it won't look weird if some pods open and some don't.

Buy three plastic ones and then decide if the look is different enough to ever
go back and buy the FW one again. If you do turn back, there are probably locals who
would buy your plastic pods off you.
