They're cool and all, as with most infinity releases (especially the robot guy), but as to the first one, how many "dancing on one foot" models do they have now. Half?

The models dancing on one foot are almost always (I can't think of an exception) Airborne Deployment troops, so the pose signifies that they are landing or in free-fall conditions. It distinguishes them from there earth bound cousins Each faction has 1 or sometimes, in the Nomads case now with the Tomcat you are writing about, 3

Nice stuff, thanks Navarro. The tomcat is ace, good example of why Infinity is super-sweet. The combined xenos scum too I dig.
Been thinking about Infinity a lot of late, for some different sci-fi action. But then the $$ factor and the game itself turn me off ... Ah well, still awesome stuff.

I'm unable to open a lot of the rules documents right now because of some computer problems (old as hell, getting a new one soon). But I love the look of this game. Haqqislam stuff looks right up my ally. Assassins are super sweet. The sniper too. These guys better rock socks. I'm really thinking about getting into this, if just only to paint some of the assassins.

I was thinking about Haqq myself, less for the assassins and more for the flamer dudes (go fig), though Yu Jing definitely had some cool-as-hell stuff going down too. Increasingly I'm liking Nomads and their (as noted) slightly more jumping-all-over-the-place troops. Combined is really strong too, dig me some Monat monkey warriors ...
But the game is just not for me I think. The emphasis on enemy reaction to your troops every activation - think overwatch, in response to everything your dude does that the enemy can see - was too stressful for me to take into account. My test games amounted to me gaining superior ground with my heavy, and winning, or my brother getting the upperhand and winning. If the enemy heavy missed, my heavy killed his and game to me. The cheerleader element - each of your troops generates "actions" generally, which can be assigned to whomever, so sometimes people will take grunt troops, hide them in the back to cover an objective and generate actions for uber-characters to Rambo around and f--- stuff up - I actually can dig, but the reaction thing was brutal without said uber-character to absorb the shots.
So ... I'm continually on the fence with Infinity. The big downside for me is that nobody I know plays it. Nobody.

Captain V: They are a tad smaller and thinner than GW figures, with more proportionate features. They are pretty close to true 25-28 mm sculptures as opposed to the more stylized GW figs, but fit in nicely. So nicely, that though I know I own a couple, I can only think of one that I know for certain is. I have an old modeling thread around the P&M section that has the inifinity sniper chick in it. She looks about the same size and scale as the Sisters of Battle, which are shorter than marines by a decent amount. How the male figures scale is unknown to me though.
Of course, now that I said the scale is very good 25-28mm, I have to point out that the boarding shotgun on that chick is silly long. The only reason to have a long barrel on anything is long ranged shooting, something likely lacking in a boarding situation, and fairly pointless with a shotgun unless you are using slugs. (Or shooting at flying birds.)
I think the guy on one foot would look bad ass leaning against a wall. He has sort of a relaxed body posture.
