I mean what's the point? we already know how it started, how it ended, who was involved, the conspiracy involved, etc. Why should I care, for example, if some clone troopers die when we know they turn against the Jedi anyway? And any heroics anakin pull off don't really matter when we know what he becomes.

Oh but this is different, he has a padawan! People will want to know what happens to her when Anakin betrays.

It also includes more involvement from Clone Commanders and Jedi not seen in the real movies. Boss Matchstick and Master Plo Koon, for example.

If you like seeing things go boom in star wars, you probably should care. otherwise... stick to the original trilogy. I would suggest watching the live-action series that's set to come out in 2009 or 2010, because then you get to see all the jedi's get hunted down. which is funs. but only if you're desperate.

I'm guessing you're neither a fan of the films, or a kid.

Ergo, Clone Wars is hardly for you.

Or is this the usual Internet 'popular you say? In that cast, I just decided I hate it'

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

i find i quite easy to ignore.

This thread has been my first thought or contact about Star wars in months.

As soon as I finish posting it is back to better stuff.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

You're half right. I actually am a fan of the movies that's why it bothers me that they retconned Anakin having a padawan. If it was lucas' idea why didn't it even warrant a mention in the movies. and wasn't anakin an apprentice the whole time?

So we get to learn about clone commanders who later turn on the jedi and the jedi that get killed- that's really exciting and not inconsequential at all...

RIght, so just because we know how any War started, and how it ended, the actual events within said conflict are of no interest whatsover?

Anakin was an Apprentice up to Episode II, when he became a Knight. Ergo, able to take on a Padawan learner. Just because something isn't mentioned, doesn't mean it wasn't there before. For example, I now reveal to you I in fact have an elder Brother. Doesn't mean I've just acquired one this instant. Just that it's never come up before.

Plus, the Clone Wars can help to show more of Palpatines manipulation of Anakin toward the Dark Side. But that can't be of any interest, can it?

Wait, are people trying to say that there were Star Wars movies made after the original three? Did they get Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill to come back?

Very cynical, but you have a point there Ahtman. The thing which made me come back to Star Wars was actually the Force Unleashed game, which serves as a nice bridge between the trilogies. Which of course doesn't change the fact that Episode 1 was terribly stupid in a lot of things and episode 2 pretty boring up the point Yoda pulls out his lightsaber.

I haven't seen the CW movie yet, but I heard awefull things about it. And some good.

When the whole war (both sides) was orchestrated by the same guy and the entire conflict only serves to further his evil plot of galaxy-wide domination- then yea no interest whatsoever. Besides this is a fictional setting- we're not talking about WWII here. We can't go visit the battlefields or talk to the descendants.

Not really, no. The movies showed us what finally turned him and it didn't have anything to do with the events of the clone wars.

You shouldn't care. Skip the nonsense and go directly to A New Hope.

Yeah, thanks to Lucas we now know that the sinister force behind Anakin Skywalker's turn to the dark side was puberty
