I love me a good conspiracy theory, but always approach them with a deep level of skepticism. No evidence, no belief from me. Enjoyed that read though.

The 9/11 ones are beyond a joke!

Channel 4 did a programme about them, and Loose Change left a hell of a lot to be desired. When they pointed out additional facts that would refute his claims, he just ignored them, just like ever Tinfoil Hat Nutjob always does!

And the one about Diana....to cover that up, the Worlds Media would have to be on in it, which is just a ridiculous claim!

The one about the moon landings being faked was disproven on Mythbusters. As for the rest, they are a function of media overstimulation. People are hard-wired to see patterns because it aids survival but that response has been made too sensitive by exposure to newspapers, tv and the internet.

I'm not sure I would consider the identity of Shakespeare to be a conspiracy. But then again, I'm one of those people that believes the Bard was actually Edward de Vere.

Whereas I'm a poor sod who was forced to look for the 'jokes' in Midsummer Nights Dream, and who found his enjoyment of the whole thing ruined by the thickies in his class.

Some of them have some credibility.

HAARP is very well powered for an 'observatory', though this could be conincidental in itself. It is powered by the gas byproduct of local drilling on a use-it-or-lose-it basis excess gas that cannot be carried is normally burned in flues as seen in the huge gouts of flame shown in pictures of oil rigs.

Here a conspiracy is not necessary, just an extension of function. HAARP can deliver massive amounts of focused microwave energy and thus theoretcally could be used as a 'raygun' against objects in orbit.

Better methods of shooting down items in orbit exist and I think it would only be of real use against manned space vehicles. Conspiracy: no, potential weapon: hell yes.


The real gist of the 9/11 conspiracy has been ignored by the article. There is strong evidence that some government know of the attack in advance from commonly observed evidence. In particular Israel.

1. On the morning of 9/11 Jewish workers in the twin towers stayed away. Only IIRC three Jews went to work in the WTC that day. Also highly suspicious is the unusual amount of speculative short share dealing in stocks that would be directly effected by the bombing, particularly airlines.

2. Most telling of all was that police in New York at the time investigated a number of middle eastern origin men who fo some reason had set up cameras in advance to watch the trade centre that morning. It was of interest to the officer at the scene because as the attacks unfolded the persons appeared to be celebrating. When he investigated he was told 'the arabs are your problem now'.
The story appeared in New York papers shortly afterwards, but was not repeated.

3. A large number of Israeli students and diplomats were thrown out of the US very shortly after this, over a hundred and for some reason relations betweenthe US government and Israel have to some extent soured.

4. It is also interesting that on the morning of 9/11 immediately after the attacks large numbers of Israeli tanks entered contested territories. They were seen to be opportunist attacks to clear areas that the Israeli government did not have an immediate retaliatory excuse (there had been no rocket bombing just before 9/11). Due to international public pressure the tanks were removed shortly afterwards.
What was not reported however was that it normally takes several hours to mobilise tanks at best, even with a very efficient military machine like the Israelis have. Even now retaliatory operations involving tanks require forward planning, yet the tanks were ready to roll at the time the attacks took place.

I dont consider Israel or the US governments to be behind 9/11, but I really do beleive the Israelis knew of it beforehand time and place and acted on the information, but that action did not involve attempting to have the attack neutralised. This does hold water. Mossad is reputed very good at uncovering what arab groups are doing, so it is not unlikely they found advance notice of the attacks, and chose to do nothing.

I don't buy that I'm afraid.

Isreal would stand to gain a lot more from *informing* the US than letting it happen. It also paints Mossad as not having a single member with a conscience which I find hard to believe.

It’s a weird list because it includes some very dubious conspiracies, some outright bunk (9/11, moon landings), some plausible conspiracies and at least one that’s been entirely substantiated. The end result is probably to have all the conspiracies lumped together under a general ‘dubious’ category, which does the real conspiracies a grave disservice.

Either have a fun list full of the goofy stuff, and leave out the Moscow apartment bombing and Northwoods, or have a serious list and include the stuff with some reasonable grounds.

I really doubt you’re lying. But what you’ve listed is either unsubstantiated or outright rubbish. The stories of 4,000 Jewish workers staying home that day is an obvious, transparent lie. It relies on an assumption that every Jew working in the building could receive a Mossad phonecall telling him not to go to work, and then remain silent up to and after the event. It’s either a very naïve assumption, or quite racist.

I never really looked at the cover of Abbey Road until that picture.

Maybe it had more to do with disagreements between Paul and John than anything else.

Very true, this is why I do not subscribe to the International Zionist conspiracy. Jws are pretty much everywhere and many Jews work in similar fields, notably media and finance. Every racial grouping tends to work better with its own kind, it requires no conspiracy to do so. Its both human nature and common sense.

For a start I didnt say 'the Jews' anything. I said the Israeli government, there is a difference, big difference. If I said, or implied 'the Jews were in on it' you would rightly think paranoia, the short share dealing, relocation of personnel and the decision to put tanks on standby all need only a handful of people in the know. Not a racial conspiracy.

David Icke is ironically a Zionists best friend, as he is so off the wall but covers a lot of bases. People with reasoned objections to what the Israeli government allegedly do has to fight a twin label of either being a 'neo-nazi' or a 'conspiracy whacko'. Neither of which are fair.

On a further comment I have renewed much attention as what was behind it seemed too wild eyed, only a seperate more plausible story that a number of persons were warned to stay away. A different thing.
