Do they send something out to let you know? or are you just checking the website every day?

It's a podcast, so you subscribe to it and your reader can check for updates every so often.

To be honest I assumed they had gotten bored with the whole concept and dropped it like so many other ideas.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Where can I get the rest of the podcasts? I'm not seeing anything in a search of the GW site.

Quote of the Day:
Jes Goodwin "Then we came to do miniatures for 40K, which at the time was supposed to last six months, because we said 'Lets do a sci-fi game, and everybody will like it, and it'll be cool, but everybody will come back to fantasy, cause that's the way it will happen'".

They really need to publicize these better. You get more info out of one podcast than in half a year of WD articles.

Agreed, this is seriously cool.

BTW, for all the DE players who don't want to listen, Jes basically mentions that he's "half way through the Dark Eldar plastics rescuplt" but "No promises when it comes out."

Pretty cool podcast and Jes does a good job of spicing it up. I still think they are really, really dry but it's still cool that they are doing these so keep it up!

After Blanche's take over of Jervis' article in WD a while ago, and listening to Jes Goodwin here, I wonder why Jervis still writes his article every month, rather than let some other old studio hands take it over.

I think it's more along the lines of a floating mastermind's tower made of magical obsidian, complete with sniper positions to take out anyone who comes by to suggest a good idea or tell him otherwise. It also has a sign on the door that says "No Trnamnt plyrz allwd!"

"Do you guys know where the fire extinguisher is?"

"You wish to douse His Holy Flame? You skirt heresy brother."

As was mentioned by Osbad I just have my Google reader pointed to the RSS url, so everytime a new episode is published I'll get a notification.

You really can't find anything from the buggy pile of that is the new website.

Kinda reminds me of those page-long "letters" that were published on the last page of the sadly dead and gone Specialist Games magazine. They had some nice stuff written by people there, along with a little disclaimer stating that some of the stuff said there wasn't all in line with GW or the such.

It's a good job Jes stopped talking about Space Marines at the end or he wouldn't have had time to mention the Dark Eldar. I wish they'd get rid of that terrible music at the beggining and end. Other than that it was very good I respect Jes Goodwin above all of the other GW staff.

I enjoyed it on my drive into work this morning. Made getting stuck in the snow a lot more interesting than it would have been otherwise!

Kudos to Jerv and Jes for a simple, straightforward and interesting podcast. No attempt at "selling" or pimpage of the "new kewl models and rulez", just a simple, honest chat about Jes' work developing the Eldar and Space Marines.

Nice one! More please!

Cheers
