Ok Its Driving me crazy! I have Googled for and hour now and I can't find the name of a game a used to play when I was a wee boy.
Heres what I know to be fact:
It was made in the late 80s or early 90s
It uses a Large hexagon floor mat (well it was large to me at the time) Probably 4 x 4 (feet)
It came with Cards
It had two armies
It was Fantasy based
Heres what I think I remember
One Army was knights and cannons, the other was beastmen and orcs I think there was wolf riders too
I think there was hexagon terrain you could place, like spiky pits and what not....
If I had to date it to when I was playing it it was probably 92-95
I think each army had a "super" unit, the good side had a cannon, and the bad side had a Ogre / Minataur
It was turn based.
Thats about all I can remember....

I think youre refering to "The Claymore Saga"
EDIT: Appearently that was the name it had in Germany. Elsewhere, it was known as "Battlemasters"

Anyone Out there have any of the expansions?
They look like this:
Battlemasters: Chaos Warband
Battlemasters: Imperial Lords
I think they were only released in Europe. If you have them Please let me know I will pay $$ or trade for them. (the rules / cards are the most important thing to me, I can always make due with standard GW models)
Thanks everyone!

It's amazing that these are so expensive now.
I remember back in the day, you couldn't find them at "regular" toy stores or department stores but, if you went to KayBee Toys (AKA KB Toys, AKA K&B Toys), you could get them DIRT CHEAP because nobody ever bought them. I remember seeing, like, $9.99 on the main set and $4.99 on the expansions.

Yeah, I bought mine from the cheapo toys department for £5. The only reason I got it was because it said 'includes citadel miniatures' on the box and I thought for £5, why not. I used it as a supply of horses and pikes for conversions and paint tests.
