I figure there have to be some other Dakkalites out there who enjoy cigars just besides me. I personally love Rocky Patel and Perdermo Cigar Brands. And yes I am aware of the health risks and I don't care. So who enjoys a good smoke and what do you guys enjoy.

I smoke quite a bit (see avatar) and enjoy the occasional cigar. I used to love sitting with my mate in the pub in front of an open fire with a pint and a cigar, but the bloody smoking ban in the UK put an end to that.

I used to smoke cuban Cohibans when I was a young'un in the late 90's when drinking.
Probably 1 per fortnight. At my first university it was quite fashionable to have cigars at the clubs.
Cohibans have a nice taste, not too strong, can be obtained in various sizes and mix beautifully with beer if that is your drink of choice (they definitely make beer taste better).
Just make sure you get the cuban ones, not the dominican ones (will be a problem in the US) as they are much better.

I work for my father at the local tobacco store and I tried Cigars as well as Pipes several times, but I never really liked the taste. However, I still support smoking as long as it is for the taste. I can't stand cigarettes, because it's mostly their fault that smoking has such a bad reputation.
I haven't heard of the brands Ghost mentioned and we have a good selection.
@Gonads: there are a lot of good dominican cigars too. If you ever come to Freiburg I can sell you some

In defence of cigarettes, I smoke Cutter's Choice rolling baccy, which is lovely flavourful smoke, I can't stand pre-rolled, they taste proper chemically.

My father used to smoke cigars a lot before. I never adquired the taste but I love how the tobaco smells in the box before lighting it. But Cohibas suffer from to much hype try a Cuban Monte Cristo.
BTW the wooden boxes are great for storing minis so Anung if you find yourself with a spare ones I could trade you some bits or something if interested.

Yes, they are indeed excellent for storing bitz.
The Monte Cristo is indeed hyped. The Monte Cristo A is one of the most expensive Cigars we sell, with 42 Euros for a single one.

I smoke entirely too much for my own good, though I generally don't drop too much money on cigars. I would probably just chain smoke it anyway. Although I absolutely love the molasses-covered charcoal-lit tobacco that you generally find in Hookah Bars across the U.S., especially anything I can find in passion fruit or vanilla.
Is anyone into Hookahs as much as I am? Or is that strictly a small U.S. culture (Not counting the middle eastern and indian origins of the hooka. How stupid of me)?
I absolutely hate the citywide ban that Kansas City has on smoking. Can't even smoke in my own apartment complex anymore. And it's like ten degrees outside; has been for about a week.

I smoke Golden Virginia. I find Cutters Choice too fine, and prone to drying out too quickly.
Though I don't smoke that much. 50g pouch lasts me just over a fortnight.

Yeah, I don't really give it time to dry out...I smoke about twice what you do. Should stop. Definitely won't.

My good friend manages a swisher plant. They make good cigars despite the common name.
When they are fresh (still warm) off the machines they are actually some of the best flavored cigars you can get.
A lot of their domincan line is great when fresh...
For some reason they taste better when they are free

Swisher Sweets are the best cheap little cigars. Hooka has a pretty good following here in Blacksburg.
Chrysaor686 with the city wide ban on smoking in Kansas City where are you supposed to smoke then?

I smoke cigars off and on, more during finals and break ups, less in the dead of winter. I enjoy pretty much any brand, but mostly I smoke Lew's Smokers, which you can get 10 for $10 from J&R cigars. If you want a decent smoke for dirt cheap, i can't recommend it highly enough. The main difference I've noticed between them and higher quality smokes is that the QA isn't as good, so some burn unevenly or have a bad leaf.

I can appreciate a Black&Mild once in a while.
Lately, I've been really enjoying Backwoods cigars.
