According to their website it appears bolt thrower will be visitingMaryland Deathfest VII, on May 22-24, 2009, at Sonar, Baltimore, MD.. Granted this information was posted on their site in October, I just visit it once a month and missed amonth..

Now, if they'd catch up with the times and allow their shirts to be purchased through their website.. (shakes head)

I live close to Baltimore, Maryland and I'm not sure whether or not it's worth the trip, especially with the bridge being worked on.. stupid beltway traffic.

I don't know which is worse, the fact that I remember them, or that I might attend Deathfest VII?

I'd love to see them but there's only a handful of growly death metal that I can stand, these guys and Amon Amarth are about it.

Last concert I ever want to was in 2000 :( it was Halford opening for Queensryche who was opening for Iron Maiden. Best. Show. Ever.

Funny enough their last album is the best in my opinion, though cheesy stuff like World Eater and Realm of Chaos are always a good assault on the ears.

Ahhh, who remembers the free Bolt Thrower single on the cover of WD? That thing was unplayable... or just plain crappola

"Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! Slayer of worlds! Felt the power throb in his weapon. He clutched it tightly in his hand and turned towards his foe letting it build in the twin energy spheres and then finally! RELEASE! The throbbing weapon ejaculated burning white fluid over them as Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! laughed manfully!" - From the epic novel, Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! Obliterates! the! You know, GW did a bunch of techno 12" records 8 years ago or so. I still have a bunch of those. The Dark Eldar one has Boccum Welt on it, and a track with a creepy Steven Hawking-voice reading some DE fluff.

I miss it when GW was trying to engender a whole culture of nerdness, from toys to music to events. Seems like the rest of the world has gone nerd now, and GW have retreated to their core product line.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Good bands rarely come to Australia... sigh. Not that I'm admitting Bolt Thrower is a 'good' band, mind you... but I'd sure as hell go to a gig.

I remember when all the US regional and cell managers pretended to like Bolt Thrower, but yet, they wouldn't let us play it in the GW stores.. lol.. Something about "it might offend the customers..." Way to go GW pick a band that no one can listen to, to promote the game.. Of course this was years ago, but I find it ironic to say the least.

It might be amusing to state, but I find that there are Bolt Thrower songs out there - especially with their latest album - that convey some sort of message. Thankfully not a politcally correct message for a change.

I have the old Space Hulk computer game. Amusing, but these guys seemed a little on the meh side.

They would have gone farther rolling in with some G.W.A.R. type of costumes and started blasting Life size genestealers on stage, or throwing a severed head to the audience.
