The one with the skull and spinal cord (or whatever it's supposed to be) totally made me think of Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat. Fatality!
Seriously though, nice to see that some work is being done. I'm actually kind of looking forward to seeing more Dark Eldar stuff. They were my first army (and also the only army I got rid of, sadly.  ), and I'm hoping the new line is nice. If it's cool enough, I might actually be tempted to start another 40k army...

Yay the only thing that ever kept me from playing the piratey coolnes that are DE where the butt ugly models (sorry to be so blunt). I hope the new line is sufficiently awesome to portray they're dreadfull repotation.

Also, the more I looked at these, the more I thought, "Hey, this might be old news..." I'm pretty sure I've seen these before, now that I think about it.
Also, the original post is dated February 19, 2008 (which happens to be my birthday, strangely enough). The fact that this pic is nearly a year old makes me think that we've probably seen these before on Dakka, too.

Quit showing us penguins! WTF is your problem, BrookM? Penguins are like, 2007!
Anyway, these have definitely been on here before as BrookM says, and they do look pretty darn good. But it's Jes Goodwin making the actual models which will be used, so I'm sure they will be even better. I also feel obliged to curse whoever saw these things in reality for not managing to take a clearer picture.

GW puts something in the drinks at Games Days to make your vision blurry and your hands shake, that's why there are never any sharp pictures from GDs.

Why do people keep sayuing that as though the DE were some sorely missed army from the days of greatness?

I think people said "No" because the models weren't that great.
Just about every army in 40K was ripped off from its Fantasy counterpart with the exception of Tau and to some extent Tyranids (although designers have said that they are based on dinosaurs).

No, it's the glass shelves that screw up a camera's focus, along with distorting any flash and/or letting in too much or too little light.
