I'll be killin two boids wif one stone, ya see?

As I had said here a while back, I intended to make the Dreadnought 3000 for my Chaos IG. I've spent a LOT of time contemplating how to do this.... and I figured, hell, make my life easy and use ork stuff, with ork glyphs taken off, and some more chaosy spikes and logos added... life is easy...

SO, I went out and bought a Battle Wagon and a Trukk... enough bits for a cab & trailer! I have all the IG bits, and if the final build turns out good enough, I'll be using forge world renegade torsos for the gunners and all.

Mad max it up to the extremme.

The trukk will be serving as the rear wheels, I have some I-Beam plasticard bits that will support the trailer, and the wagon will be the cab. For the rear tank bit, I have a leman russ chasis & turret, along with multiple bits for various gun emplacements. I will try to get images soon as I get the project going.

Heres the origional movie images, skip all of them to go straight to my Tyranid project.

Here is Mr Biggles Worth. He is not complete, and still has a huge ammount of work to be done. He is an alternative trygon (in the end he will be about 1/2 the size larger in some aspects....) whats missing from him here? 4 sets of scything talons, a massive gullet around the 'carnifex tail' bit....and a huge, gaping maw that would make a Carnifex squeemish.

Fluff wise this is basically a giant ripper, used to devour larger creatures (like squigoths...) or things en-masse. It has several smaller, parasitic rippers in its gullet that it is capable of vomitting out during attacks (it later consumes them along with what ever it is eating...) pretty much: YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE IN IT'S WAY... its a special project for Apoc use only, though outside of Apoc I would field him as a Trygon (likely will rarely do this)... he is primarily custom built for a campaign I have going on...

Along it's tail, it will have multiple small arms like Trygons do...

For anyone who wishes to comment on the tail design being less tyranidy (someone has, believe me...) I will say this: Tyranids evolve... and yeah it does look a bit like a capillary tower for now...

What movie is that? It looks like the truck from Mad Max 2, but they definitely aren't stills from it. Is that a new mad max film? Or some other post-apoc film?
The setting seems a bit George Romero-ish...

Making something that looks like the truck from Mad Max 2 would be awesome though, so can't wait for pics!

Very strange looking thing... Any more recent pictures that give a better view? There doesn't seem to be much of a discernible shape to the giant ripper.

Tired of reading new rulebooks... Just wanting to play.

Isn't this basically what a Malanthrope is for?

No the malenthrope wanders around after the battle and basically samples the genetics of the dead. It doesn't really have a function in the planet devouring cycle, it just allows for things to be assimilated into the tyranid genetic structure in a more controlled fashion.

Do you remember that time that thing happened?
This is a bad thread and you should all feel bad

Bingo.

This guy just devours a lot at once, something I haven't seen many nids be capable of.

I'll have more photos later...

Also, its Milliput, standard, Ill be detailing with greenstuff later, just using it for general shape & design.

As for not looking for a ripper, youll see it more clearly soon.

So, shouldn't it have a giant stomach or something to hold that much excess bio-mass.
