since at-43 is crazy cheep... i have broken in and finaly decided to start up.

i like the looks of Red Blok and the UNA.


i was going to start UNA off with 2 of the starter set box's and try and get a friend to buy the ther.... necrons off me for 10-20 bucks.
after that the wing troppers look cool, as do the tac arms (not a big fan of the UNA striders though, so was hoping i could go mostly infentry with UNA)

as for red blok... i like allmost every model that got.


but im not sure of what to get to go up to a decent sized list (we are starting at 1k, then once we got the rules down were going to 2k)


so any tips on what i should get at the FLGS today???

EDIT: i think i should mention that i allready have the rule book, and the UNA army book. on top of whatever else i get today, ill get the red Blok army book.

There are a couple of excellent sites that can provide advice on what to buy for a starter force. Since I play Karmans and Therians, I cannot provide any real insight into Red Blok and UNA army builds, but if you want anti-armor I would suggest a Defender Snake. I know that my opponent's Snake just devastates my armor units...*shivers at the thought*. I also suggest you take medics for any squads, because they are extremely valuable, and help ensure that your units stay alive as long as possible. However, AT-43 addict.com has a couple of starter lists, and they are listed below:

As I tell everyone who does this, go to Miniatures Market and pick up extra Sonic Gun Golems(in this case 2). The Operation Damocles Storm Golem squad is a Sonic Gun away from being legal(comes with an 8 Golem squad with 2 Sonic Guns, Legal Max size is 9 with 3). Everything else in the box is legal.

Alternately, your friend could run 1 Max size and one Min size squad legally if you guys don't feel like buying the extra models(but at $2 a Golem, I don't see why not).

the store had a buy one get one free on at 43 boxs.... so it around the same price as the warstore offers, cheeper in some cases.

ill finish up the rest of the red blok army on tuesday when he opens.

no matter where i look, i cant find this urod thing. is it some big strider?

I believe the box for the Urod is named after the two character pilots that come with it. The box is called AT-43 Red Blok Odin O-1 & Manon O-2 Hero Box, and comes with the two characters and their walker named Urod.

Does your store honestly have Bunkers?! Do you have Tiles, too? If your store has either or both, BUY THEM! They're almost impossible to find these days.

The bunkers are hard to get? Really? I picked some up pretty recently (so I have an even six of them).

I found that urod thing... it didn’t even cross my mind to check the character section.

Yep he had 4 bunkers last time I was there. I picked up 2 and said if the worked for 40k I’d swing by and pick up the other 2 and he told me he has more in the basement.... so cool beans.
I didn’t see any of those tiles though, and I was actually looking for them.

By the looks of it, the krasnye soldaty unit is in almost every red Blok army, and the dragonov kommandos are common as well. Ill pick up both unit box’s along with their attachment boxes..... For 60$, I love this buy one get one free stuff.


And that ready to use terrain looks really good on the table top.... looking forward to getting some more of that stuff


EDIT : anyone know how long these great deals will last??

I hope that the sale will last a couple of weeks to come, so that I get to pull off one last order...

(My Karmans need bolstering, my Red Blok needs some Dragomirows and my poor Therians needs a few boxes still... )
