If you want to learn about painting there are no secrets. It takes practice, a steady hand and an eye for combining colour. The basic techniques can be learned from the Dakka Articles. There are some very good painters on Dakka.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

If you are prepared to put some money into painting advice as aposed to just surfing the web and checking out the endless tutorials on the net and here on dakkadakka, I'd recomend this...

http://www.coolminiornot.com/store/product.php?xProd=2331

brilliant stuff in there. + there are a few downloadable pdfs for free around if you look in google. Illegal I guess...I take no responsibility for your actions.

In any case from experience the only hard thing about painting is knowing how to use your brush: getting the right amount of paint on it etc. etc. Once you have that you'll get better and better with practice.

Jawaballs has some tutorials.
