YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Dakka is a fairly high content site in the context of mobile devices, such as browser phones and PDAs. In the future, a 'Dakka Lite' option might be nice, that could remove signatures/extraneous information and simplify button labels, to save space on the smaller screen as well as making those kilobytes count. It could also utilise those nifty mini-avatars used in the Gallery comment lists - 150x150 avatars come up pretty large on a mobile.

In your profile, you can disable signatures & avatars. Helps quite a bit.

A full mobile version of dakka is on the drawing board for autumn-ish of this year.

iDakka?

You know you're really doing something when you can make strangers hate you over the Internet. - Mauleed
Just remember folks. Panic. Panic all the time. It's the only way to survive, other than just being mindful, of course-but geez, that's so friggin' boring. - Aegis Grimm

Autumn? Damn, that's spring over here.
Good to hear anyway. Please don't call it 'iDakka'.

Turning them off on my profile is a pain because, you know, it's a profile setting. I don't mind them on a PC, but having to resave my profile every time is a pain.

(THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK)

I surf this site on my itouch all the time. It's not really an issue. Portable friendly sites are increasingly pointless given the fact that every portable device released after the iphone is going to have the ability to render HTML to about the same quality or better (also amusingly enough iphones make up about 80% of internet portable internet use these days according to an engadget thingy a bit back). Seriously though, portable sites are a punishment for people with portables capable of using the actual site, I hate having to use a dumbed down mini version of websites on my devices.

However the roll over text on topic titles screws with my itouch pretty bad. You may want to re code that.
