what is the diffrence between the fordge world baneblade and the gw baneblade

Forge World baneblade is made out of resin which is heavier than gw's plastic one.

Forge world was created first ( which most of their items are resin )

Years later GW made their own out of plastic.

Forgeworld Baneblades are Lucius Pattern, which is an innately sexier design.

FW's is a bent and mishapen piece of crap while the GW model is as if delivered from Mars itself.

is it bigger?

It is heavier.

both are the same size and have all the same use in the warhammer 40k and apocolypse game but the forgeworld one is made of resin which is a harder to deal with material, however ive heard you can soak it in hot water to get it to be more maliable and bend it to fit just right. its not an easy task and honestly the GW one is much better overall if you want to buy and field a baneblade. like other users have posted they are of different "patterns" which isnt that much of a difference game wise as it is look wise and collection wise.

Not quite true. The plastic one is about an inch longer and an inch wider than the Resin BB.

The Forge World Baneblade is meant to be a labor of love and detailwork with your blood, sweat, and tears mixed in.


The Games Workshop Baneblade is for those of us who want to field one without having bodily fluids involved.
