Hola!

It's been about 5 years since I last posted here, but I recently dug up my old haggis-scented space puppies (The Ravenborn) and decided it's time to get back to throwing dice around. I'll need to get up to date on what the latest rules set is, and if they still allow old farts like me sling dice. I'll post my current army list so I can get some feedback and abuse. Hopefully a little more of the former, but the latter's cool too.

I need to poke around and see what's new here, and if I still recognize anyone. Is bugswarm still twitching, or has he finally been put out to the ol' hive in the sky?

Whoah! The return of Mastiff! Sweet! I've been looking around for your Ravenborn online and haven't seen hide nor hair of them. The latest SM Codex interacts with the Space Wolves codex in some very interesting ways these days through GW's errata and allows some very weird abusable stuff (not only like Wolf Guard Battle Leaders in Terminator Armor with Assault Cannons - hello BS5! - but Wolf Guard Battle Leaders on Bikes with Multi-Melta - hello T5 with a BS5 MM!) That said, SW are supposed to be in the pipe for a new codex in the fall, so it's a good time to be getting up to speed with them.

Bugswarm rears his ugly head every once in a blue moon, but it's pretty rare to see him about.

Good to see you back! Are there any pics of the Ravenborn still floating around the net? If so, I'd love to get a link to them! They're some of my favorite SM conversions around.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

I still remember you using the plasma pistol ends for the hammers.

Thanks for posting those, WG! Yeah, I remember how revolutionary the plasma hammers were at the time. GrimTeef used them, too, on his fantastic Storm Eagles - still a much-underused classic.

I didn't realize the Haemonculus was also Mastiff's, too - that one's also a classic!

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I caught flack for using the plasma pistols for hammers, and on reflection, they were right. I was lazy. But I figured if GW could duct-tape six bolters together and call it a "Hurricane Bolter", then I could make 'plasma hammers" on the cheap.

I posted stuff in my gallery, but all of the photos are at least three years old. I'm working on new stuff to justify posting. I've got some AT-43 Red Blok repaints that I need to take pictures of.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Thanks again. I feel like a complete dick for getting my ego stroked on the basis of very old minis. I promise to get something new up this weekend. I intend on creating an ongoing post/blog thingy to show what I've completed in the past, as well as WIPs. It's a great way to keep me motivated, and I really want a complete 2,00pts for fall.

CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!

Glad you're still around, you're one of the reasons I missed this place
