I know theres threads for the price increase in general, but this is taking it beyond any means of insanity. Youll find if you had not all ready noticed the new elves up on the website for £20 a box. Now thats on foot and mounted, Yes 6 plastic cavalry for £20 a box. So you can see when june hits the rest will follow as well

£20!!!!! for both???
I could understand cavalry sets going from £12 to say £15 and Infantry from £15 to £17 or £18 but £20!
Thats a phenominal increase. Just utterly insane. Thats a 25% for infantry and 40% increase for cavalry. How can that possibly be justified?
One of the most positive aspects of LotR was that its miniatures where on the whole excellent value. No longer it seems.

Oh yes £20 for both and come June 1st the rest will follow. GW have killed WOTR before its even got going. This may have been the one thing that i would have stuck with GW for but at these prices, ill be getting rid of everything i have and moving onto a different wargame company

Its becoming more popular, what they'll do is keep basic infantry cheap then after you've bought some of them you'll need to but more elite units so they'll up those prices and most people will buy them.

Find ways to modify your figs to avoid buying expensive command / banner blisters. It helps, that's what we are doing. But it sucks there are certain units in a game you want to play and it is just impossible to do so.
