Hiya, Just made an account, and wanted to say hi to all my fellow War-gamers.
Well, "Fellow" war-gamers may be misleading...I actualy just started with this hobby.
i mostly play
WH40k with a few of my freinds that got me in to the game. When i first learnt of the
WH40k universe, i was treated to an epic battle between the Chaos Space Marines and the Orks. While watching, I perused through their collection of the Codexes (Codexs? How do you spell that...) and the Necrons caught my eye.
Just one thing...I seem to get anihalated every time i go up against my Eldar playing buddy. (Nataku135, in case you care...)
I lurked the forums before i made the account, and i hear that i shouldn't be having such a hard time. The double-casting Farseer seems to be the death of me.
Anyway, what i like to do for everyone else i fight is deploy in a Palanx formation, putting Warriors in front, with Destroyers and such on the outside to get around them. I have a Monolith mixed in there somewhere, to deep strike in. I usualy end up surrounding them and letting the silent army obbliterate them with numbers and
WBB.
Somehow, i just cant do that to the Eldar. Too darn fast and adaptable. First off, He was the first one to realise that shooting everything from Flashlight to Bolt-pistols at the Monolith might not be as effective as killing just off my Warriors. Plus, my Eldar Playing buddy just happens to have the most commanding sense out of all of us, so he has a tactical advantage because i can't do tactics. I heard that the great Eldar weakness is the 3T, but i have a hard time exploiting it. The Wraitcannons and Haywire grenades usualy end up ending the Monolith, and i loose the Necrons i had yet to deploy. Banshees tear me up with the Power Weapons, nullifying my
WBB, especialy when the unit gets doomed. The Guardians usualy get killed fast, but the aspect warriors seem to get unusualy lucky with their rolls. That and Fourtune....

(Disclaimer: I do not think the Eldar are Cheap, Cheesy, Overpowerd or otherwise advantegeous in the general sense of things)
SO, if there are any good 'Cron players out there, could you give some tips to an aspiring Crypt lord?
