I just bought AOBR and I'm going to be playing in my friends garage. If I just put my army in a backpack, and be careful with it, is my gak gonna break? I'm mainly worried about the Deffkoptas, they seem a little vulnerable floating around up there.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

If you magnetize them instead of gluing, you'll be fine.

If you glue the rotor onto a deffkopta, and glue the base onto the deffkopta, you're asking for trouble. If you magnetize the rotors and carry the base separately to pin them on for your games, you'll be ok.

There are multiple cheap and easy transporting solutions, that's assuming you can get to wal-mart.

One option I use is a double long gun hard case, I can fit 3k + 'Nids in it, including MCs. I bought mine a long time ago, it couldn't have been more than 20 bucks.

Also, portable file cabnits. They are usually plastic, with a handle and open from a hindge at the top. Buy some cheap 'egg crate' bed padding and cut it to the dimensions of the box, you should be able to get 3-4 levels of minis in there.

Just some thoughts

The AOBR deffkopta rotas (thats ork spelling, kthx) dont need glue or magnets, they just clip on (well, the two pairs of blades for each kopta need gluing), as long as you protect the blades (fairly fragile, my kittens broke one by sniffing it, and no, they're gentle, never harmed a hair on my guardsmen's heads) you're sorted.

Also, gluing those bases is asking for trouble.

I collect:
Guard - 2k of mostly infantry
DA - 2k of deathwing, 2k of other bits (no vehicles)
Sisters - mostly converted/proxy because I'm waiting for therange to go plastic.
Tau - 2k with no riptides because I can.

I use the very same thing - Wally World (Wal-Mart) indeed has 'em for around $20.

Alles klar, eh, Kommissar?
