I'm just getting back into
40k and played my first game in 5 years last weekend. I'm still using the older
SM Codex (waiting for the Space Wolf codex to be released so I don't plan on buying the latest
SM Codex). A couple of things came up that we couldn't remember how to resolve;
1) What are the current rules for Space Marines that lose 50% of their unit to shooting? Do they check for morale? If they fail, do they retreat or is there a special "shaken" rule that allows them to roll again at some point? I believe they wrote an addendum for the
SM Codex but I couldn't find anything.
2) Can a
SM model have two lightning claws PLUS a bolt pistol?
3) Are shuriken catapults irrelevent now that bolters and lasguns can also shoot twice on the move? The fact that eldar guardians can shoot then charge the enemy doesn't seem like a good trade-off for losing their unique
ROF from previous versions of the game. This isn't really a question, just trying to figure out the strategy implications. ie.
WTF were they thinking?
I can't think of the other questions at the moment, but I'd appreciate any answers on the first two questions. Thanks!
