Mage hunter assassins are practiced killers and mage hunters with refined skills. Recruitment for this cabal is slow, for their chain blades are tricky and require exceptional reflexes. A skilled assassin can send the blade flying tremendous distances before whipping the chain to bring the weapon to hand for close-quarter fighting.

Weird thing is that it says it's a unit, but it looks more like a solo.

It's got to be a solo. Also, the pose looks awkward.

That's a really bad pose, and the half-tabard looks silly.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I blame the studio scheme. It looks lit the left foot is duplicated somehow...and oh, god...that chain...its like they copied it from the DE jetbikes....
Edit: the rotational view is a bit better, but I still hate the pose.

The pic above looks like a double exposure of the rotating view.

I got one beef with the Ret females they have shown.

In an effort to make them look petite, they have made their "breastplates" smaller. noticed this on the 'caster too.

But if the breastplates are that small, why bother with them at all. Just give them a normal "male" chestplate.

Those cannot be comfortable for a female to wear no matter the cup size.

Bam, said the lady!

Cool concept, awful execution. It should have been whipping that thing around koko yubari style.

Thats probably one of the major issues with any miniature....pose!

It looks like they've tried to capture the dynamics of the "moment" but she comes off looking awkward!

I do like the sculpting detail, and the face is very feminine! GW take note!.....wouldn't own it though, too far off the mark!

I'd like to see it from different angles, but I actually like it, would make a cool RPG character/mini for gaming.

Edit: The link has different angles! But yeah, I still like it, though probably wouldn't have put her leg exactly there given the choice.

Indeed. A common problem is that any one frame of a movement looks awfully silly stripped of its context and frozen in time in the form of a still image or sculpture. Almost all the "dynamically posed" miniatures I've seen are pretty horrible.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Needs to be leaning forward a bit more. Maybe jumping off of something instead of hopping on a flat base.

Very weird picture problem too with the duplicate image off-center under it.

PP certainly likes to pick the worst possible angles to take pictures of their minis with. :\

The arms are the only real downside I'm seeing. Too stiff. They need to be in some sort of attacking or guarding pose with the chain flowing around her body. That'd be more obnoxious to model but it would look cooler.

Great Face but the pose makes her look like a child pretending to "march to war". And that chain is massive !!

I may get it once I see it in-hand to determine if it's worth converting to fix the raised leg, at least.

On the Privateer forum all the loverboys are going "It's so beautiful It's so beautiful, I love it I love it".

I think it's absolutely horrible. On par with the fugly epic Krueger pose.

Well, terribly posed as it is, it's not the only one. I mean, look at GW Khorne Berzerkers. They all look like they're dancing happily rather than charging. Kinda ruins that whole "Blood for the Blood God" thing.

Yeah, this one's not very good...speaking of PP's forums, is it anything like the GW forums used to be (or what I was told they were like)? As in do they ban people who criticize them so that all that's left are the fanboys that gush over everything they do?

Also, where the hell is her codpiece?! All the techy elves need ridiculous codpieces!

No bannings, although thread that start out or get too heated get moved to the ranting forum. Some posters even have reputations for being consistently negative.
