Hello everybody I feel bold enough to come out of the Shadow's (lol an ironic term) and talk about my homemade Warband. With a Biograhpy, now originally I was gonna do this is like a file on a Inquisitorial computer. But I'm not very creative.

I will cut this up into a few chunks.

PRE HERESY
Pre Heresy The Revenant's were the better half of the 6th Great Company. Shadowbrand was the Lord Commander of it. Shadowbrand got to lead his honor guard and his Terminator elites accompaning Fulgrim during an attack on a Laer Stronghold. Before he turned Shadowbrand was a tall fair man with bright purple eyes and long silver hair. many called him "little Fulgrim" He was Noble, kind but had a deranged Ego. And was not trusted by the other Lord Commander's.


HERESY
Fighting Eldar and Dark Eldar on a Forgeworld Shadowbrand was captured by the Dark Eldar, but they did not make off him but they tortured him for a week straight. He was rescued from them by the Eldar, who returned him to his legion. However Shadowbrand admitted to Enjoying the torture and often cut himself, Slannesh took ahold of him during these dark days. Shadowbrand betrayed and killed the Eldar, and fed Slannesh their Spirit shard's. Disturbed by this Shadowbrand consulted with his Long time friend. the Chaplin attached to his company. Alexander Black, who dearly wanted to help his friend, but after angering Shadowbrand who in a rage killed his friend. A Ship from another company of Emperor's Children came to Shadowbrand and mentioned the Emperor had betrayed mankind. Although Shadowbrand saw though this petty lie, but once Fulgrim requested for him to fight "Traitors" This was where Shadowbrand first employed sound cannon's.

Gleefully slaying the Loyalist's Shadowbrand led his warrior's with a burning hatred, many of the Loyalists on Istavaan where people who had doubted him. On Terra, after being held back by the Imperial Fist's Shadowbrand raced through Terra's street's on a jumpack killing innocent's and straggler loyalist's with his Plasma Pistol and Powerfist. or with his barehands...
After the heresy Shadowbrand assisted Bile in the cloning of Horus. And actually mortally wounded Abbadon but ran away after hearing his bodyguard had been killed.

POST HERESY
Shadowbrand in M35 mutated.. growing wing's and a serpentine tongue his hair.. Pampered and beautiful was now raggy and his face *Like my hair Irl* On Skalathrax Shadowbrand saw his best friend Immortal become entombed in a Dreadnaught after dueling Kharn the Betrayer. Shadowbrand also somehow survived prolonged exposure to the cold

Shadowbrand also fought on behalf of the Iron Warrior's during an invasion on Tallarn but was ambushed and critically wounded, returned to his companions Shadowbrand was in stasis for a whole two centuries. Shadowbrand has a son from a Tallarnian woman, but he died of unkown causes when he was only 6.

Thus far Shadowbrand has Engaged enemy's of all statue not just the dog's of the false Emperor but Eldar, the wife of the farseer Shadow slew so very long ago want's him dead, as Well as Kharn, It is known he is on unfriendly terms with the Black Legion despite being part of the 13th Black Crusade.


DAEMONHOOD!!!!!
After leading his army for so long Shadowbrand, upon a Alter had a ritual (That involved very Slanneshi Things) Shadowbrand became Shadowbrand the Dominater! A even further twisted Daemon Prince, The Revenants are growing. Shadowbrand has corrupted a Loyalist chapter and has taken in many warriors even Plague Marine's and a Plague Sorceror into his gang.

The Revenant's of Sin's Icongraphy is Blue and Black, some still bear the Aquilla's but Shadowbrand changed the name and any way of being Identified as being Emperor's Children shortly after the Heresy.

As a Daemon Prince Shadowbrand has made a pact with Abbadon to try and take Cadia, half of the Revenants are there half of them are with Shadowbrand himself spreading mayhem and debauchery where ever he sees fit. Becoming a Daemon made Shadowbrand arrogant enough that he can go around the galaxy causing wars and destruction because he simply feels like it.

BTW, that side story of the Tallarian woman sounds interesting. Is there love in 40k? (or just rape...?) and what's more, do I want to know?!?

Well, sounds okay to me in the basic idea. This is WIP, so I assume many parts of this backstory will be written out in more detail later? - Maybe some kind of reason why Slaanehs promoted him to Daemon Prince might be nice!

Apart from that I'm too much of a loyalist to comment further. (If you want a very personal opinion: It sounds just too emo for long parts for my taste. But that might be the reason I'm playing Catachan jungle fighters and not the emo CSM. )

Well one thing I forget to put in was.

He achieved Daemon hood by using a Chaos Artifact he stole from the Thousand Son's.

I think the affair Should of been out of love, not rape.

I mean there has to be SOME good in him!

Agreed about the Dark Angels. That he stole something from the 1000 Sons is a nice idea, some chaos-intern conflicts...about the affair out of love: I might find that possible for lesser minions of Chaos, but a soon-to-be Daemon Prince...?

Well, maybe you could argue with the slaanesh factor. Slaanesh is about excess, maybe he had some excessive love for her. (Which was not good for her in the end, it's Slaanesh after all...)

Well first of Dark angels are not Emo, in anyway... They have a spiteful hatred for the Fallen whom they once called brother. Their friend you are referring too I assume, Luther is held on The Rock consistently being battered by the litanies of Interrogator Chaplains.

Now on to your story. I like it so far, I do have some quarks that I think are a little off, not due to fluff but to the characteristics of races. The Dark Eldar part with all the torture I like, I actually would like to read more detail. The Eldar saving him I do not like, however it is your story and you can keep it anyway you want, I would suggest maybe a band of Imperial Guard or a Flag-ship of Loyalists find him and return him.

Onto the child part, I am not sure that Space Marines could have children. I understand the Lust that Slaanesh have but... I dunno it is a little weird, however I guess the emperor had children as well, the Sensie. Kharne.... well he wants everyone to die... <__<' so it makes sense lol.

I would also like to have more detail in the Ritual. What did the artifact look like, where did they perform this, could it have been where he was originally turned to slaanesh at the Dark Eldar Camp Site. What exactly did they do to him, was their sacrifice, Sexual lust with Daemonettes lmao.

All in all with it being a WIP to factor in and this being your first Background writing, I would give it a 7 of 10. I hope you will try to expand upon this.

Originally It was Ultramarine's working with a group from Shadows company saved him.

Eldar was inspired by Fulgrim, when that famous farseer who I forget his name warned him about Horus.

The artifact is, I dunno really it has I think it should be a stone or something with a greater daemon trapped in it. Or maybe even a artifact from the Great Crusade. I don't quite know yet.

Dark Eldar tortured him, both soul and body. a Hamonculi got to him and did unspeakable things to him, and got him dependent on a drug they used on him.

The artifact can be a WIP too lol

Maybe... I like the Idea, But Shadow is still somewhat "human" he's not riddled with scars on his face atleast self inflicted ones anyways.

All of the apothecaries from 6th company have turned over to their masters twisted ideal's.

Well, that whole primarch thing ain't gonna happen unless he can somehow get his hands on some of the Emperor's DNA (which he used to create the primarchs). Abaddon already destroyed the only primarch corpse Chaos had in their possession (Horus, when the Emperor's Children tried to clone him). The living Chaos primarchs are daemons now.

Then his Space Marines must be lower quality than the standard ones. So many die because of the grueling trials one must undergo to be deemed worthy to wear the armor. The only way to do it "safer" is to reduce those trials and let a lower quality of aspirants through. Space Marine aspirants have an average 1% survival rate. Many Chaos legions deem them "weak" and boast of their 0.1% survival rate.

I would Imagine it would be possible to use science to make it easier to make space marines.

I have a problem with the story, there were two Lord commands, both had command over half the legion.

Only 2 I thought there was one for each legion?

Wouldn't it be possible to enhance the candidate's so they have greater chances of surviving the test's?

Well, the idea of the tests is to see if the candidates are worthy before you give them enhancements, implant the geneseed and all the special stuff. At least that's how it works with loyalist marines.

Of course, you could get the average Joe and his dog and give them space marine implants and most probably they would be better than your average guardsmen, but...against a real Space Marine, the lone survivor out of hundred rock-hard humans who were chosen for the trials, a guy who was superior to almost every kind of human warrior before getting implants...yeah, to that kind of Marine they would lose. And that's your average loyalist/chaos traitor Marine, don't forget that.

The legions didnt al have Lord Commanders, it was a EC thing.

The Luna Wolves had the mournival, the IF had two captains that went with Dorn.

Im pretty sure the Lord commands had half the legion each, its mentions that Lord commander Edoilion didnt think sal had potenual and the other Lord command did. But he couldnt do anything cause he is on Edoilion side of the Legion.

You could be Julius(spel?) the first captain and one of the first noise marines.

He got half his face burned off in the end of Fulgrim so you could use that head from the CSM kit (the one with the giant horn) If you cut the horn off it looks alot like burnt flesh.
