anyone else actually see any of them in stores? I was amazed when I saw them there, because I thought they were all sold out.

Space Hulk doesn't seem to be as big here in Australia. In my local GW, there were about 8 copies up on the wall, another 8 near the counter and an entire gaming board covered in space hulks about 6 layers high.

I think somebody ordered a few too many copies

It's really quite ridiculous and probably why we have so many copies left over. That said, the only thing I regret is the person I'm playing with. STOP LOOKING INTO THE COMMAND POINT POUCH.

One of the GW's around here still has 40 copies...

my LGS had 5 copies, they now have 4

My nearest GW had 12 left just under a week ago when I was last in and my FLGS has one copy left to my knowledge (but he has specifically told me that he wouldn't sell this to me even if I had the cash as he refuses to sell more than one copy per person, very sensibly)

At the end of the day, it will inevitably sell out if only because they have only produced a finite number of copies of it. But I think it was foolish to presume that they would sell out immediately. No matter how far the hobby has come its still fairly niche comparitively - I mean amongst us who know Space Hulk is a Legend sure, but its not like this was the new GTA or Halo, so it was never gonna be one of those 'sold out in ten minutes' jobs. Still, I got my copy and thats all I care about
